Do you sallow after swishing? ## I don't know exactly what's in this, because most of them are regional products and the ingredients are specific to the doctors and pharmacists of that area, however, no, they aren't usually swallowed. They are just swished in the mouth as directed and then spit out. Are there any other comments or questions?

So, some might contain what Sal listed, but not all in every area will be identical. If you really want to know the specific ingredients and information on a product such as this, then you should ask the dispensing pharmacist.

my doctor gave me a prescription for miracle mouthwash, when I went to have it filled, it was almost $200.00 is this the usual price for this and does it really stop a chronic severe cough? ## Unfortunately, this is a regional product, not an actual regular prescription medication. Thank you. ## These are usually regional products, meaning the formula can vary from area to area and there is no set one that is universal throughout the U.S. The way it usually works is that the local pharmacist know what is commonly used in them and a doctor, or dentist writes a prescription for it, so it does need a prescription and must be purchased from a pharmacy. salivary gland destroyed as a result of radiation and chemo therapy. How does one replace inability to produce saliva. Was told there is something called miracle mouthwash which may help. Not sure if it is a prescription or over the counter mouthwash. Any other suggestions as to how to replace saliva is needed. ## I know that there are artificial saliva products available just for such cases.
