I found a pill in my cabinet when I was cleaning it out (my husband was very ill for 2 years and I guess it got stowed away for some reason) and looked it up by imprint and I only found one answer and NO photos. I would like to confirm the answer was accurate; I don't know what this thing is! This medicine may be used to control pain following surgery, child birth, or other procedures. Federal law prohibits the transfer of meperidine; promethazine to any person other than the patient for whom it was prescribed. Do not share this medicine with anyone else. ## Jules id is correct, so I have removed the incorrect post to avoid future confusion. Thanks Jules. By the way, the strength on this is 50mg and 25mg, respectively.

This is a pain reliever coupled with an anti-emetic, to help prevent the nausea or vomiting that may result from taking it. having surgery and perfer mepergan for the pain.i have had it before,it don't make me sick like other pain meds do. is it still available . that's the generic name ## Mepergan is a combination of Phenergan (promethazine) and Demerol (meperidine) Demerol is used to control pain and Phenergan is used to prevent nausea.
