i was told this was a muscle relaxer its white pill with gp 400 ## I located the white pill in description to be Magnesium oxide (400 mg). Suspensions of magnesium hydroxide in water (milk of magnesia) are used as an antacid to neutralize stomach acid, and as a laxative. Also being that it is classified under minerals and electrolytes, it may help aid in muscle relaxation; but I cannot personally confirm that. What are the indications, contraindications, dosages and side effects of Gelusil? ## From the information I am finding, Gelusil is used to treat heartburn and gas. It contains: 200 mgs of Aluminum Hydroxide, 200mgs of Magnesium Hydroxide and 25mgs of Simethicone. The product packaging says to chew 2 to 4 tablets hourly as symptoms persist or as directed by a physician. Do you have any other questions? ## The expiration date on the packaging of my gelusil chewable tablets just got torn away from the strip, but the manufacturing date is July 2016. Does anyone know when they expire?

I recently found a couple very small pink pills with a P on one side and nothing on the other. They are round in shape. ## Hi Alicia, I have identified your pill as Pepcid complete; which contains (800 mg) of calcium carbonate/ (10 mg) of famotidine/ and (165 mg) of magnesium hydroxide. Pepcid Complete is an OTC medication that belongs to the drug class H2 antagonists and is used in the treatment of GERD (Gastroesophageal reflux disease). It works by blocking some of the signals that tell your stomach to produce acid.
