Fluvoxamine, sold under brand names such as Luvox or Fevarin, is an antidepressant of the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) class.[5] It is primarily used to treat major depressive disorder and obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD),[6] but is also used to treat anxiety disorders such as panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder.[7][8] Fluvoxamine's side-effect profile is very simi...

I am enjoying my LUVOX CR, quite seriously. There is a difference, however, between the IR and the CR version. Currently there is no IR 'Luvox' per se, but in terms of efficacy, both seem to be equal. There are benefits with the CR, and of these there are many, but it seems to, for some reason, cause the stool to be softer. It does not cause me to have diarrhea, but I am prone to having the opposite normally, so I am wondering, are other people on CR getting full blown GI upset with diarrhea? Does anyone use luvox I am cross tapering from paxil to luvox please let me know if you take luvox ## Please any luvox users out there let me know your experience please ## Hi Theresa, I haven't personally used Luvox before but I can link you to a couple threads where users discuss their experiences with the medication. Discuss/restless-sleep-vivid-dreaming-fatigue-219483.htm"_blank Discuss/Comparison-of-LUVOX-CR-to-regular-Luvox-230469.htm"_blank You may want to post in both of these threads in order to get more feedback. Just be aware, everyone reacts to medication differently so even if a certain brand works wonderfully for one person and they recommend it to you, that doesn't necessarily mean it will work as great for you. I hope this helps!

Can you just change from one to another or do you have to cross taper the med is paxil going to luvox ## Hello, Theresa! How are you? If you've been taking it for a long time, then a cross taper/titration is usually best and what most doctors will have you do to avoid any severe withdrawal and rebound effects. Are there any other questions or concerns? ## Took it two months before that I took lexPro two months nothing worked what do u think ## can we switch from clorocef to klavox?

I see a lot of posts of concerns of side effects of anti-depressant medications. Personally, I think all side effects suck and am thinking of getting off meds. I have OCD and have tried 4-5 SSRI/ SSRNIs over 20 years (one at a time). One med I took, Luvox, I didn't take for a week (I'm THAT lazy) and started being stuck in side effects. Very very bad anxiety and restless arms/legs that made me pace and go for walks to distract me. Couldn't sleep or sit still due to the feeling. Even cried. Went to emergency room a couple times for shakiness bothering me so bad. Tried lowering Luvox. Tried upping it. Couldn't get back to where symptoms went away. What I discovered through the Luvox experience is don't lower dose and gradually go back to dose you were supposed to be on...
