Does anybody know if there is a liothyronine without Talc in it as an inactive ingredient? I have allergic reactions or side effects of Talc as a filler in medicine, causing fever, dehydration, choking (breathing problem). So I take medicine without it. Synthroid has it in it so I take generic Levo in the U.S. (it seems that all generic does not contain talc as I tried my manufacturer's levo) Cytome (T3) has Talc in it too so I asked my doctor to prescribe generic T3, but unfortunately my generic lionthyronine from Rite Aid has talc in it. ## The best thing to do is to inform your pharmacist of your allergy, to ensure that it's noted in your file, and they can avoid providing you with medications that contain it, in the future. While some companies do have their inactive ingredi...

I have hypothyroid and I've been taking levothyroxine for more than 5 years and I started liothyronine 25 mcg a week ago. I was hoping to feel all good by now but it hasn't happen. I'm 40 years old male. I'm tired of being tired, I can't focus on this like a normal person and feel very overwhelmed about this. It's been more than a year feel very tired, anxious, feel like my brain works only 25%. Does anyone have an advice, suggestion, or had any experience with this medications and how long would it take to feel better? ## @RHYH, Sorry to hear about your situation. I for one think the medication should've been working by now if it was ever going to. 5 years is a very long time to wait for any kind of results in my opinion. However it seems to me like it would...

There is a slight risk that you may be experiencing something dangerous that requires medical treatment. Neither of these medications should cause such a thing. Are you feeling any better? Are you still having the pains?

Pink heart shaped pill marked GP on one side with a line through the middle on the other. I was told it is cytomel T3 medication. ## They don't provide a description of the tablets, but the GP marking is used on all products manufactured by Geneza Pharmaceuticals and they do make a generic Cytomel tablet that contains 25mcgs of Liothyronine, used to treat Thyroid disorders. Where was it found/obtained? You can learn more about the medication here:

Small round white pill KPI 226 on one side, scored on other side ## Correction: The small white pill is marked _KPI 116. I have another small white pill which I think is generic T-3 it is marked 25 above the score and 222 below ## Hi Jon, The imprint "KPI 116" is identified as Cytomel 25 mcg (0.025 mg). This pill contains the active ingredient Liothyronine; which is used to treat hypothyroidism (an under active thyroid). The imprint 25 222 has been identified as generic Liothyronine sodium 25 mcg (0.025 mg). So they are pretty much the same drug! Small, dainty football shaped white pill. It is vertically scored through the center and has a capital M on one side of the score and a capital L on the other. The other side of the pill has the number 12. I believe it may be a thyroid pill such as a generic cytamel but cannot find it on line. ## Yes, it is a tablet that's used to treat thyroid disorders. To be specific, it contains 25mcgs of Liothyronine, which is a generic for Cytomel, just as you suspected. Learn more Liothyronine details here. Where did you find it?

I went off nuzak but at the same time changed from Eltroxin to Diotroxin. In that change I have been putting on weight and my stomach feeling uncomfortable and bloated constantly. Would it be from the Diotroxin that I'm now on and isn't working for me? Or possibly coming off the Nuzak? I'm thinking about going back to Eltroxin but not sure which could be the cause. ## Such symptoms would most likely be due to starting a new medication, those aren't things that are normally caused by stopping one. Diotroxin contains Levothyroxine and Liothyronine and these types of medications are well known to cause weight gain and GI upsets, such as what you're experiencing. These side effects should start to taper off in about 4 to 6 weeks, as your body adjusts to the medication. A...

I have a tiny white pill, just off white, really, but you could call it white. It's just a little bigger than a birth control pill. One side appears to be completely blank. The other side appears to have a Roman letter capital A that covers most of the pill. In the open underside of the A there appears to be a lower case i. Below that there appears to be a very small capital T and D, separated by a slight space. There is a remote possibility that the A is a V, but then the TD is at the top and printed upside down. ## The marking is ATD, what you thought was an I is a stylized logo of a mortar and pestle. This tablet contains 19mgs of Levothyroxine and 4.5mgs of Liothyronine, commonly sold under the brand name Armour Thyroid. These are Thyroid hormones.
