Latisse Bimatoprost

Bimatoprost, sold under the brand name Lumigan among others, is a medication used to treat high pressure inside the eye including glaucoma.[4] Specifically it is used for open angle glaucoma when other agents are not sufficient.[4][5] It may also be used to increase the size of the eyelashes.[2][3] It is used as an eye drop and effects generally occur within four hours.[4][3] Common...

I have very blond hair so my eyebrows and eyelashes are also very blond. I really don't know much about cosmetics but my girlfriend recommend that I try Latisse. I decided to give it a shot and the results are crazy good. I was also impressed with the information I was given by the customer support. They walked me through everything and I ended up getting a great price on the product. To my understanding there is only one product that will genuinely do this (latisse) and I recommend getting it from latisse.md ## Hello, Josh! How are you? I am glad that it worked so well for you, that's fantastic and your post to inform others is very much appreciated. Just a note to remind everyone, before trying anything like this, make sure that it is safe for you to do so! Is there anything I...

I wanted to share my experience about the use of Latisse, I have never, used a product that does what it says it will do. I for 30 years have used flase lashes, I now have lashes, that are long, & thick, I am using it on my eyebrows, & am starting to see more hair grown there. I realize that everyone is different, but this is the most amazing product that I have ever used. ## Hi Pat- Thank you for sharing your experienced using Latisse. I can say Latisse is one of a kind eyelash grow products really amazing!!!

At first I didn't think Latisse worked at all and I was wasting my money. I later realized that I was getting ripped off by imitation Latisse. Apparently the real Latisse has a patented ingredient called "bimatoprost" which comes from Allergan. After about 10 weeks my lashes and eyebrows were where I wanted them to be. The imitation wasn't cutting it. Moral of the story; make sure it's the real deal. ## Hi Julie, Thanks for sharing your feedback on Latisse. I wonder, where did you get it from the first time when you felt like it wasn't working correctly? Was it from a legitimate prescription? I only ask because I do see a lot of posts on here relating to people ordering medications from overseas, just to avoid a doctor visit...but often times their medication end...

Why should you not apply Latisse to the lower lids? The instructions say DO NOT APPLY TO LOWER LIDS, but I cannot find a written reason why. ## I emailed Allergan, maker of Latisse, as to why they say not to apply to lower lashes. Their answer was that the product ends up contacting lower lashes anyway, when the eyes close, and the lower lashes grow also. So basically they are saying that you would be wasting the product. It would be nice if they simply wrote that on the product instructions, because otherwise it gives one the impression that it's dangerous. ## Thank you for the info. I agree with you, it would be nice if they included that info in the directions for use. ## To answer Jen, Latisse works on the pigment cells and turns the upper eyelid a darker color, and also the iri...

I used Latisse successfully for several months & loved the look. But then my lashes started to fall out, leaving me with short stubby ones less full than when I began the latisse. Does anyone know if it stops working, or the body gets resistant to it, or have any of you had the same reaction? Thanks. ## Same thing happened to me - I am wondering if this is a bad batch of Latisse - how would one know until eyelashes stop growing or fall out? ## It is normal for your body to eventually get used to any type of medication you are using, even a topical one and it may stop working as well as it once did. The warnings in the product information also say that other changes in hair growth may occur and though it is rare, this could involve shorter or less lashes. Some drugs don't work at...

How long can you have latisse before it stops being effective? If you don't open it and use it for a few months does the active ingredient(bimatoprost) stop working? Do you have to have fresh product? ## What is the expiration date provided on the packaging, or label? It is always best to stick with that, and not use it past that date, since it may lose effectiveness. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including dry eyes, darkening of the eyes, headache, and light sensitivity. Are there any other questions?

I believe Latisse caused me to lose fat on my upper right eye lid, shriveling it up. I discontinued use and my eye looks back to normal. But it was very scary because it looked awful. Looking up latisse online, this is a side effect: periorbital fat loss. Proceed with caution and do your due dilligence before using. ## Hello, Helene! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem you experienced. Was that the only side effect you experienced? The FDA lists others as possibly including hair growth outside the treatment area, eyelid pigmentation, increased ocular pressure and dry eye.

I was born without eyebrows. Would Latisse (eyelash extender) help grow hair there? ## I do not know about Latisse, but I do know about Revitalash and it helped fill in my lashes/brows. I would think it would work for your brows as well. Not to mention, it is guarenteed so if it doesn't you can return it...FYI ## Do you have any hair in that area, or just smooth skin? Whether or not anything will help is going to depend on whether or not you have the capability to grow eyebrows. Latisse is only approved to help with eye lashes, so I am not sure if it would do anything for hair in other areas. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including itchy eyes, dry eyes, eye irritation, and eye redness. Ref: Latisse Information ## I'm not a doctor but it doesn't sound lik...
