Hi, iv had the jadelle in for 2 and half weeks, when I run a figure down my arm it hurts. I can feel pain when I bend my arm or if I lay my son on my arm. Yes, you should have it checked out, it might not have been placed correctly. I've had the jadelle for a year now. It works so good! I get my period every 2 months like I'll have it for 5 days for a month then the next month I get a 5 day period then it doesn't come for a bit. Only down side is my mood swings are so annoying and the bf goes oh no Satan's waterfall is coming?? But it stops me from getting pregnant and eating alot so I don't mind hahaha. ## I'm glad that it's working so well for you. The irregular periods and mood swings can be normal side effects of it, as reported by the FDA, you may also experience dizziness, headache and weight changes. I must admit, I love how your bf refers to it…. I may pass that phrase on to my husband, he'll probably love it, too! LOL Is there anything I can help with?

Hi gals :-) Just sharing my experience with all of you. I had the Jadelle implanted a few months after I had my daughter about May 2011. I was having a period as normal once a month differing in length but nothing abnormal and much lighter flow than what I was previously use to.... I thought wow I'm lucky , ofcourse i was not lols I started to bleed a full week than stop than two/weeks later bleed another full week this carried on for two months I saw my doctor and was told its just my body trying to get use to the Implant and let it be for atleast 6-7 months (from my calculations this was about my fifth) so idid I waited a full two months and it got completely worse I bled constantly for that whole two months no breaks or anything somedays it would be verry light so ithought it may...

Should I get it removed or is this normal?? ## Hello, Saffa! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems that you're having. The acne and lack of a period can be normal side effects of it, as listed by the FDA, you may also experience headache, dizziness, irritability, mood swings and PMS-like symptoms. However, the weight loss is not normal and you need to see your doctor to have it checked out. I understand your embarrassment, but there's no need to feel that way. Am currently on jadelle which is causing heavy bleeding and have been prescribed Norethestrone. Am worried if this will reduce the effectiveness of jadelle that I will fall pregnant since the bleeding has stopped. ## i dont think it will affect the effectiveness of the jadelle but you rather visit your doctor for advice ## Hello, Jasmine! How are you? I have to agree with Gamuchirai. If it would alter the effectiveness, your doctor most likely would have said such, when they prescribed it. it is just another hormone, very similar to what's already in the Jadelle. Thus, it actually usually inhibits ovulation, as well. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Had jadelle 4 a year & 3mnths .
