I had my first Iron Infusion yesterday of Dextran. I am severely anemic. They gave me benadryl, some steroids and then a 1 hour test dose. Passed that and then onto the 3 hour drip. Everything went fine. Last night I started feeling very weak and achy, hurting in my bones and joints kinda like flu symptoms. I ran a low grade fever and couldn't sleep. Today the flu symptoms are worse and my bones hurt soo bad. Doctor said this in normal side effects and can last from 2 to 4 days. Has anyone else had anything similar happen to them. I am soo weak and I can't stand to miss that much work but I have no energy. I am suppose to monitor fever or chest pains and go back in 2 weeks for labs to see if I need another infusion. He's talking about a biopsy to see why my body is not absor...

I am on my 3rd set of infusions in 5 years. Infed (iron dextran) gave me an allergic reaction and so they stopped and gave me steroids and benadryl...then felt like my bones were rotten and soft for a week. Benadryl helped. After that it was months of iron sucrose, which only left me feeling crappy for a day or two. This time around, (Friday) I was given Injectafer, which is 750mg at one time. I tolerated the infusion fine, but was exhausted and unable to focus for the rest of the day. I woke up the next day due to the fact that my hips and pelvic bones were aching like a toothache. It's Monday, and I can feel my long bones and it's miserable. The upside is that I already can feel the difference in my iron levels. I have another treatment this coming Friday--at least I know what...

Is a prescription needed to use Debrisan beeds? I know that there used to not need one, but not sure about now, ## There are three types of Dextranomer products available over the counter. Exudex® (on Amazon), (100% Dextranomer, less expensive Debrisan), Dextrosan® (on Amazon) (a blend of Dextranomer and Chitosan) indicated for treatment of infected wounds and Dextatic® (on Amazon), (Modified Dextrosan® with added iron salts), excellent product for treatment of infected and bleeding wounds. {affiliate links added}

NEED TO FIND OUT WHAT IT IS ## Hello, Unfortunately I wasn't able to find a white pill that meets this description but the NIH does have a "yellow", which they sometimes used to describe an offwhite, pill that matches the rest of your description.
