Hello All, I have been on levothyroxine 125 for about two weeks and I hav e swollen ankles and feet on a daily basis. After contacting my dr, she said I should take two water pills and a linsopril twice a day even though I have weak bladder from Multiple Sclerosis. If I take a iopdine supplement will this up my levels? advice plz!!! ## I am not sure if the iodine would work to help enable your levels to change and for you to lower the dosage. But the severe swelling can be dangerous, which is why your doctor wants you to take the diuretics. If it remains untreated, there is a chance that it could cause severely elevated blood pressure and/or congestive heart failure. my husband underwent brachytherapy iodine 125 about five weeks ago.He was made fully aware of the likely side effects of the treatment for himself. However since returning home from hospital we resumed sleeping in the same bed after the first few days home. I began to experience loose bowel motions which have continued until this time.I also suffer waves of nausea and a loss of appetite. My drug store has switched my thyroid manufacturer from Mylan to Lanne. Since taking the same dosage of 88 mcg, my blood pressure has gone up considerably and I don't normally have high blood pressure. I have some of the older ones and have taken them for the last 3 days and my bp is back to normal. Is this just a coincidence or should I talk to the drug store? I also feel jittery in the neck area.
