My father has been a patient of myasthenia gravis for years & is also diabetic. Is imuran safe for him? He has been taking 2 tablets daily for the past 1.5 years. In the past he had gone through plasma franious treatment once for almost 5 to six days. He also had high blood pressure. ## I'm a patient of Mysathenica Gravis. In mid Sept. 2015 my Right Eye Lid had gone down about 75% gradualy in 15-days, then I consulted a Neurologist who advise me first to start taking AMYGRA Tablet, 1/2 each morning/night, and also advised for some Tests, like, MRI, U/S of Chest etc.

Is this a new imuran ## Hello, Sr! How are you? The GG logo is actually used on many medications, so while there is a generic Imuran with the GG logo, that doesn't mean that all tablets with that logo are Azathioprine. It should have GG 210 on it, separated by a score line, it's a beige yellow color and is oval. Does that match the tablet in question?

Why is the genetic for Imuran considered a specialty drug by Express Scripts? My husband took this med for years without being a specialty drug. Do you know why or is this just a ploy by Express Scripts to allow them to charge the patient more? ## It really depends upon them and their criteria for various medications and their coverage. Most insurance plans usually set up a certain formulary with various tiers, the lowest prices are usually for generics that have been available for a long time, and maintenance medications, then it goes up from there, depending on the availability of the medication, as well other criteria. Thus, it isn't likely to change much, even if you used a regular pharmacy, such as Walgreen's. The pharmacy, whether mail order, or physical, actually are not ...

I am starting cellcept tomorrow so that I can finally go off of imuran and eventually prednisone. Have been on many meds for 16 yrs after being diagnosed with dermatomyositis. Also have fibromyalgia...hope to hear from someone who has had success with this medication. The Doctor has a lot of positive things to say about this med including little or no side affects. Looking forward to hearing from you. ## I have pulmonary fibrosis & am starting cellcept now. I've been on lots of other meds but it just keeps getting worse. They took me off cytoxan after 6 months. That didnt stop it. I walk slow, but I get there... ## I've been on it for 1 1/2 yrs. It has almost put lupus in remission. I've been on imuran and IV cytoxan since 2001. It's a very good therapy. ## Better no...

oblong with above imprint ## This tablet contains 50mgs of Azathioprine, a generic for Imuran, this is used for immune suppression. This is commonly used by people who have had organ transplants. You can read more on it here: Is there anything else I can help you with? ## Thank you - I thought that might be what it was, but my current generic Imuran that I take for rheumatoid looks nothing like that.

for low hemaglobin ## I think you mean Aranesp - manufactured by Amgen. Mostly used to treat anemia which set on as a result of cancer treatment, etc. ## I have auto-immune hepitius. The drug IMURAN has improved the liver numbers, but have left me with very low hemoglobon. Aranesp is being pushed by my doctor, fighting my HMO to approve it. Any other drug therapy to consider? ## Your doctor would be the best judge of the best drug for you to use, no one here is a medical professional and none of us can even guess at your medical history.

My son has been a muscular dystrophy patient since age 9 and has used deltacortril ec 20mg for one and half years, daily. Now he has a lot of fluid retention and his face swelled so much his doctor recommend dropping the prednisolone gradually and adding imuran 50mg daily, but it feel like his muscle strength is not good. When dropping deltacortril ec he can't go upstairs easily. I need suggestions. Will it be good to increase his dose of imuran?

In the nearby future i can participate for a testcase in Belgium taking tofacitinib for CA. I only have to be stabil with 16mg medrol (corticoïds) to participate and that's just the problem. I hope I don't get a placebo wich is possible during the study. I hope I can help, not only myself but many others who has the same (agressive) desease. Is there nothing else wich can help my upcoming CA? I take colitofalk and cortisones, Imuran is not possible anymore after a high value of bloodinfection last year. Remikade has helped during a year but as shown in recent results a high amount of this medicinal product in my blood doesn't help me anymore.
