I am taking hydrochlorothiazide 25mg once a day along with Losartan, also 25 mg. Should I take these together at the same time or should I take them at different times of the day for the best effect? On my prescription for Losartan/HCTZ 100-25mg last month the pill was teardrop shaped and yellow. I just had it refilled and the pill is rectangular, white, and has ZD 19 stamped on it. I think the pharmacy made a mistake. I have not taken them. My mom in law is 98 and she takes losartan/hctz, she didn't realize it's for bp she thot it was water only and she takes it every other day. Does Losartan hctz tab 100-25 mg equal Diovan HCT 320-12.5 tab. I am concerned about the difference in milligrams. I recently started the Losartan. ## It's usually about 100mgs of the Losartan to equal each 160mg of the Valsartan in the Diovan, but your HCTZ (Hydrochlorothiazide) has been raised from 12.5 to 25, so that dose has been doubled. my insurance company would not pay any longer for my hypertension medicine losartan hctz 100-25 mg tabs and put me on a tab supposed to be the same but made by a company lupin. Have noticed my headaches returning which signaled my elevated blood pressure and have only been on the new pills for a week. Are they the same and work as well as my former pills? ## Yes, this tablet is supposed to contain the same ingredients, Losartan and Hydrochlorothiazide, in the same amounts. Can I take Craztronin 500mg with high blood pressure medication? ## I decided to select a number of well known blood pressure medications from different classes to check for interactions with the antibiotic Craztronin (Azithromycin). I used the UCLA Health drug interactions checker for this. The drugs i checked against are: - Hydrochlorothiazide, HCTZ - Atenolol - Lisinopril - Losartan - Amlodipine No interactions between Azithromycin and the above blood pressure medications came up. That does not mean there aren't any others, it simply means that nothing came up for the drugs that I chose.
