Guaifenex PSE Guaifenesin + Pseudoephedrine

Guaifenesin, sold under the brand name Mucinex, among others,[3] is a medication used as an expectorant, intended to help cough out phlegm from the airways.[3] Chemically it is an ether of guaiacol and glycerine. It is unclear if it decreases coughing.[3] Use is not recommended in children less than 6 years old.[4] It is often used in combination with other medications.[3] It is taken by mouth.[3] ...

sustained release with no yellow dyes ## This would be 600mgs of Guaifenesin with 60mgs of Pseudoephedrine, commonly used to treat cold symptoms. Are you looking for this product? From what I am finding, there are some prescription options available that are completely dye free, but they are not a combination tablet.

for cough ## I am looking for information about Guaifenex LA PSE. None of your references list both LA and PSE together with Guaifenex. Is there anywhere that it is still available in that form? ## No, you will not find anything like that, which includes both Phenyleprine and Pseudoephedrine. They both essentially serve the same purpose in a medication, so there is no need to have them both and the FDA will not allow it anyway.

oval,white,ETHEX,208 ## This is an decongestant, used to treat colds. ## I was prescribed this pill along with Nasonex to help symptoms of congestion and sinus pressure with a heavy cold. My doctor told me it contains 'prescription strength Sudafed' (I assume that means it contains Pseudoephedrine HCl, but I don't know how much), plus an expectorant, that it should be safe to take while nursing but it may reduce milk supply temporarily - supplies should return normal after stopping the pills. I took one, and it did help the congestion, but no more than regular Sudafed (most Sudafed formulations contain 30mg Pseudoephedrine HCl).

guaifenex pse 600/120 tb saeth was taken off the market because, as I was told, drug companies no longer want to pay for this prescription. So, who still sells it. ## If insurance companies are no longer willing to pay for this perscription, does their power include taking this drug off of the market. What if the patient is willing to cover the cost of the perscription and bypass using insurance. And the drug stores are unwilling to obtain the drug, is this a case where insurance is creating problems for patients getting their perscribed drug? Since this is a prescription used for many different problems, how can the insurance companies have the power to just make it vanish. ## To update this for anyone looking for products like this, the problem ingredient is the Pseudoephedrine that...

It is wonderful for clearing up chest congestion in colds. Mucinex is NOT the answer. Isn't there some where to obtain Guaifenex? Or maybe Entex? I can't believe that a good medication like Guaifenex is no longer available. ## Hello, Robbia! How are you? Products containing Pseudoephedrine are now kept behind the pharmacy counter. You don't need a prescription to buy them, but you will have to sign for your purchase and show valid ID. Is there anything else I can help with?

I've recently had symptoms of a head cold. Now, my right ear and under my right chin aches. Can I take Guaifenex PSE to heal the symptoms. If not, what should I do. Feels like the head cold is not quite gone. Please advise. ## If it is the result of an infection that has set in, in your sinuses and it sounds like it may have moved to your glands, this will not cure it. You will need to see a doctor to get an antibiotic. ## Unfortunately, I have no insurance coverage. Is there an over the counter med. I can take? - like some kind of decongestant that can help? I've been told that this may be an option along with Tylenol for the pain. Please advise. ## Decongestants may help, but as I said, if it is from an infection, then nothing is going to solve the problem other than an antibi...
