I am allergic to sulfa drugs . Will I be okay with the Glucossmine Sulfate? ## Hi, Zoey! What sulfa drugs are you allergic to? Is it sulfonamides, or general sulfa drugs like Sulfamethoxazole? If that's the case, they aren't the same as a sulfate, but you should double check with your doctor or pharmacist to be careful. ## Thank you very much . I will find out and ask my doctor. ## You can take Sulfate free glucosamnine (glucosmanine Hydrochloride) better than the sulfate one.

Can I use an open tub with a bbe 7/11 date? ## I can't really tell you if this Glucosamine Sulphate will help you or not, since it is expired by almost a year. Although I do agree that certain medications are actually okay to take after expiration, there are others such as antibiotics that can become toxic. Nothing lasts forever without expressing signs of degeneration. The only real way to know how long it can maintain it's potency after expiration, would be to have it lab tested periodically. Does anyone else have an opinion to share on this?

No, that would be very unusual. It is most commonly known to cause drowsiness, but even then only in a very small percentage of people. The other side effects to this supplement, as listed by the FDA may possibly include nausea, heartburn and diarrhea. Has anything else changed, recently? Any new medications? More caffeine?

I suffer from severe ortheoarthritis . I was prescribed Piascledine 300 while I'm already on Glucosamine Sulfate. Any harlem in that? ## These are both just nutritional supplements, not actual medications, so they haven't been tested for possible interactions, as is done with prescription drugs, so unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any information about using these together. Was the doctor that told you to take it aware that you are already on the Glucosamine? for back pain ## Glucosamine + Chondroitin is a joint supplement to promote healthy joints during exercise or daily activities in general. It is also used in the treatment of arthritis. Many health food stores and grocery stores carry this joint supplement combination. I cannot say whether or not it will help with back pain..... based on my personal experience with this, it doesn't seem as effective as one would think; but I would imagine one would have to be taking it for a while to notice some effects as compared to the immediate effects of pain medication. my mother age is 55 and she is suffering from knee pain from the last two years. the doctors advised her to take two pills of Diacerein Glucosamine Methyl daily and doctors further told that knee contains some kind of fluid and that fluid is decreased in the knees of my mother. i had a x ray on my hip in india the diagnosis was i was in the early stages of arthritis of the hip the doctor prescribed these tablets over a period of 4 months the tablets are yellow in colour. i did have pain now and again before the xray but since comiing home i have been in constant every day which wasn't the case before also my fingernails are in a very bad state i am wondering if the tablets have anything to do with this.

I am taking this tablet twice a day as prescribed by my physician for last two months for having faced Slip Disc at L3-L4 and a mild annular tear at L4-L5. I've been taking Arthrexin 25mg 3 x daily for a very painful arthritic neck, with great effect, for about 4 days now. Can I continue taking glucosamine? Over a period of one year of taking glucosamine + having professional therapy, I have not had any relief.
