Fentora Fentanyl

Fentanyl, also spelled fentanil, is a powerful opioid used as a pain medication and, together with other medications, for anesthesia.[3] It is also used as a recreational drug, sometimes mixed with heroin, cocaine, or methamphetamine. Its potentially deadly overdose effects can be neutralized by naloxone.[5] Fentanyl is commonly used to create counterfeit drugs marketed as OxyContin, Xanax, Adderall, and other pills. It has a rapid onset and its effects general...

cost of 28 100mcg fentoras capsules. ## Though the price will vary from area to area and pharmacy to pharmacy, Fentora is actually quite expensive and you're probably looking at $400 to $450 for one 28ct package. Are there any other questions or comments? ## Fentora is actually much mor expensive than the price posted above. A box of 28 runs in excess of $1000 at most pharmacies. It is strictly regulated by the REMS ACCESS program and can only be prescribed by physicians who complete the required training and test. In addition, a patient/physician agreement must be on file with the REMS program, and only pharmacies who are prior-approved by REMS can dispense it. ## I found out today without my insurance, a total of 120 buccal tablets of fyntora comes to a whopping $12,000++ ... I have been on Duragesic and Fentora plus a few other meds for years for chronic pain. I had a 6 level fusion from T12-L1 to L5-S1. Unfortunately my rods came loose. The insurance company approved the surgery to repair them right away, however, as my bad luck would have it, this was right at the time Schwartznegger passed his workers comp reforms. The insurance attorney used this as a reason to cancel the approval and drag hi feet for the next almost 2 years... During this time I fused at a 90 degree angle (yes that is bent all the way over). Although the surgery to correct the problem was successful, my muscles were not very cooperative about letting me stand up straight. About 6 weeks after my second surgery I started having nerve problems for some unknown reason. My skin from my knee to

Is the Fentora tablet homogeneous? ## There are several ways that the term homogenous can refer to a medication and medical uses, so I am not quite certain what you are looking for. However, here's a link to the monograph, so you can look at the chemical structure and other information to find the details you are seeking. Are there any other questions or comments?

Hi all, Just wondering if anyone here takes Fentora for noncancer related pain? Last time I took it was 2013 when my doctor was able to write off label prescriptions for it but then my insurance stopped covering it. Also, with the many fentanyl related deaths lately, it's even harder to get the medication. Thing is, I have new prescription drug insurance and Fentora is in the formulary. I'm waiting to hear back from my Dr. about getting a prescription for it but thought I'd also post here to see if others have Fentora prescribed to them? I was taking Fentora to treat breakthrough neuropathic pain. FYI, I have an intrathecal pump which has baclofen and hydromorphone. The baclofen helps the spasms tremendously but the hydromorphone isn't doing much for the pain, I still ge...

I hope they weren't a friend, because that's pretty messed up if you ask me! This medication is very potent and can be deadly if abused or taken by the wrong person. Definitely not something to mess around with, especially if you're not already used to taking strong opiates/opioids. Do you happen to know which manufacturer makes these "rootbeer barrells" or what imprint might be ...

Have been taking 400mcg Fentora with 125mcg Fentanyl Patch as prescribed by my PM doc. Fentora supposedly is only used for cancer pain. I do not have cancer just major chronic pain in knees for 10 years she believes is now CRPS. She says I have to stop either the patch or the Fentora. I have heard that Morphine is a good sub and she suggests 15mg. Dilaudid is also an option but did not have any success with that in 4mg dose. Any thoughts would be much appreciated!! ## My suggestion (sorry so late a reply) is that u stop the patch immediately. Fentanyl 50 Mcgs over 5 years has ruined my beautiful teeth. Anything with the derivative fent - etc. pls take my advice and stop. Dilaudid if it doesn't work at that dose and it was your first time. Don't. The dosage will have to be higher...

I was taking 100mcg of Fentora (The kind you put onyour top gum and let desolve) I was taking four pills a day. They only come in a 28 day supply. So that was four boxes a month. The cost was a little over $1600.00 month. My medicaid in SC paid for the first 5 months then suddendly said that I no longer met the criteria. I suffer from chronic lower back pain and chronic leg pain in both legs. I also take (2) 20mg. tablets of Kadian twice a day. I have had 3 back surgeries. The last one resulting in a Spinal Cord Stimulator. I have suffered since my injury 6.5 years ago and have been in Pain Management for 4.5 years. Currently I still take the Kadian and taking 10/325 Percocet 4 times a day. I just believe Medicaid thought the Fentora was too expensive. But it really does work the best o...

I'm on Morphine sulf 60mg ER 1 table every 12 hours plus Fentora 400 MCG Buccal tablet 1 every 6 hours. I'm ran out of the Morphine Sulf and none of the farmacy have it on stock. Now I'm with a lot of pain, I think because I'm getting the morphine out of my system, but I do have at home Oxycodone 15 MG. Do you know if I can substitute the morphine for the Oxycodone safely until I get the Morphine back within 2 days. Also if I take the Oxycodone can I still take the Fentora safely. I will not take it together, but like I take Oxycodone now and within one hour it's the time for Fentora. ## Hi, Santa! Sorry about the problem that you're having finding your medication. And yes, a sudden withdrawal from the Morphine can cause a rebound effect, which could cause worse p...

My insurance paid $4900 for the lollipops200mcg and $9900 for the Fentora 400mcg Fentanyl. ## Hi, Ed! Yes, Fentanyl is an opiate narcotic that's used to alleviate pain, it's actually the most potent one available, over 80 times stronger than Morphine. It also has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Are there any other questions or concerns? i have been going to pain management for 6 years and taking 6 30 mg, 10 15 mg oxycodone and 1 a day of fentora 400 mg. now i am thinking about going to suboxone. i can't bear the w/d and thought sub would take care of it. but i see different outcomes for different people. i have got to do something, it's destroying my life and any and everything in it....HELP!!! ## Are you addicted, or just dependent on them? There is a difference, because addiction occurs when someone likes how they feel from the side effects of a medication, but since side effects wear off as your body gets used to a medication, they have to keep taking higher, and higher doses to get them back. If you are only taking them as prescribed, and not abusing them, then you are only considered to be dependent. Stopp...

Does anyone know why Actiq cannot be sugar free? It works pretty well for my migraines but it's doing a number on my teeth. I know that Fentora is sugar free, but have heard it doesn't work as well and is not as long lasting as Actiq. ## I can't find any details on this, but my first guess is that it probably has to do with disguising the taste of the medication. Fentanyl is a narcotic and they are known to be very bitter and it would take a lot to make sure that they didn't completely gross someone out. In addition, the use of actual sugars as a sweetener opens them up to a much broader market, as many people can't use artificial sweeteners for various reasons. Any regular, long-term use of narcotics will harm your teeth, which is why most drug addicts or long-term ...

Just wondering if anyone knows the answer to this: I take Actiq for my migraines and works great most of the time but is really doing a number on my teeth. I've heard that the lozenge form of Fentanyl (Fentora) has no sugar in it at all, but a lot of people I've talked to say it's not as long lasting as the Actiq and their pain tends to re-occur quicker. Why can't they make the Actiq sugar free? ## I can't find any details on this, but my first guess is that it probably has to do with disguising the taste of the medication. I was on the original trial 4 or the scent in December 2006 is it still available by prescription ## Hello, Mikel! How are you? This contained the active ingredient Fentanyl and it is still available via prescription in several forms. The tablets from Cephalon are now called Fentora. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have been on traditional American narcotics for more than 10 years to treat pain from advanced degenerative spine and arthritic spiny growths etc. in the spine. By now I am on TWO 75 mcg/hr Fentanyl patches changed every 2 days ( which works out to putting one on a day, yes.) I also had a prescription for the last TWO YEARS and approval for another 9 months for 800mcg Fentora ( a fizzy between the cheek and gum -- GOD! they really worked.) Well, I changed insurance at the insistence of the President and now I can't get the Fentora. Well, that leaves me desperate for relief. I can't afford a 100-150 dollar a day H habit, but NOTHING my doctor offers can help my peak pain. After being on the same dose of Patches for more than 3 years, a lot of that is just handling my addiction....

(suckers?) ## The new tablets are sold under the trade name Fentora and they are available in several dosages, up to 800mcgs. The lollipop formulation that Kat mentioned is called Actiq. Have you consulted your doctor, yet? This is really the strongest narcotic available and you may have better luck with a different formulation. ## having trouble keeping fentynol patch on ## Fentora is an IR version of fenta...

I'm a 43 year old male taking 400mcg taking it 5 times a day. I take it for neck and back pain. I've had surgery on my back a few years ago bit still suffer from chronic back pain. On my neck I have 2 ruptured disk and one of them is pressing on my spine causing flattening on my spinal cord. Still waiting to have surgery on that. I would really appreciate if you can tell me how long fentora stays in your system after you take it. Thanks in advance for the help. ## Fentora contains Fentanyl, it is a very potent narcotic pain medication. It stays in your system for approximately 24 to 48 hours, after you stop using it, this can vary depending on the dosage and how long you have been taking it. Do you have any other questions?
