i am about to switch from Avaine 28 to microgestin Fe 1/20 . I really like the Avaine and have gotten used to it but no longer have insurance and are able to get the BC from planned parenthood. Im wondering if this will be a good replacement and what should i expect from switching? ## Well, the Microgestin contains Norethindrone and Ethinyl Estradiol, where in place of the former the Aviane contained Levonorgestrel. They work the same, but it really depends on your body and how it reacts to these specific hormones. In my case, I had a lot of problems with ones that contained Norethindrone, I experienced a lot more breakthrough bleeding, acne and vaginal dryness.
