Hi. I am normally using ovral, but when I went and fetched my new months pills they give me Famynor. I don't know Famynor. They told me it's the same as ovral. According to the NIH famynor and ovral both contain the active ingredient Ethinyl Estradiol .05mg, however, Famynor contains Norgestrel .5mg and Ovral contains Levonorgestrel .25mg. Both medications are used as a contraceptive and decreasing pains and blood loss during certain menstrual conditions. Though the two medications are similar they are technically not the same.
