i am about to switch from Avaine 28 to microgestin Fe 1/20 . I really like the Avaine and have gotten used to it but no longer have insurance and are able to get the BC from planned parenthood. Im wondering if this will be a good replacement and what should i expect from switching? ## Well, the Microgestin contains Norethindrone and Ethinyl Estradiol, where in place of the former the Aviane contained Levonorgestrel. They work the same, but it really depends on your body and how it reacts to these specific hormones. In my case, I had a lot of problems with ones that contained Norethindrone, I experienced a lot more breakthrough bleeding, acne and vaginal dryness. Round beige colored pill with P-D 635 on one side and 3 on the other side. Cannot find ANY info! ## Based on the description provided, the closest match I could locate is identified as Ethinyl Estradiol/Norethindrone 75 mg; used in the treatment of birth control, menstrual disorders, acne, postmenopausal symptoms, endometriosis, and more. This particular pill is round and beige colored with an imprint of PD 622 on one side and blank on the other. However I get the sense that it could possibly be from the same manufacturer, since the color, shape, and imprint are quite similar. Manufacturer: Warner Chilcott Laboratories National Drug Code (NDC): 00430-0482 Anyone else have thoughts on this?

I started loestrin 24 on the 5th day of my period and would like to know how long until it is effective. The nurse practitioner said one full packet of pills but that conflicts with almost everything else Ive heard or read. Any advice/opinions/info appreciated. ## Loestrin 24 (active ingredients Ethinyl Estradiol + Norethindrone Acetate) is different with everyone. Some cases are 14 days and other cases are one month. With most birthcontrols it is recomended to use other forms of birthcontrol during the first month (ie condoms). In my opinion I would still use protection while taking Loestrin 24 for at least a month, better safe than sorry. Do you have any more questions or concerns, please post back and I would be happy to help. ## i have been on loestrin 24 fe for now alomost 2 months...

I accidentally took a white tablet instead of a blue one for lo loestrin fe. What do I do?!? ## Hi Sarah, I wouldn't worry. Based on my research, there isn't a huge difference between the blue and white Lo Loestrin Fe pills. The white pills contain 0.1 mg of Ethinyl Estradiol; one of the synthetic estrogens used in most birth controls. The blue pills also contain 0.1 mg of Ethinyl Estradiol plus an additional 1 mg of Norethindrone; which is another type of synthetic estrogen. Basically, you just took a smaller dose of birth control, but not by much. This shouldn't effect you in a major way, you might just experience some light spotting and/or cramping. Mom gave me pills that she claims are a narcotic and that's why they're not in the container because she threw it away. It is birth control size and says watson on one side and just a p on the other. What is it really? Like the actual name of it. ## It's not a narcotic, those are birth control pills, they are called Necon 1/35. They contain Ethinyl estradiol and Norethindrone. Is there anything else I can help with?

i found a tiny, round greenish yellow pill with a capital letter P on it. please help me identify what is is as soon as possible! thanks ## I was not able to locate an exact match based on your description, but I did come pretty close. Is there any way that the word WATSON appears on the other side of the pill? From the sounds of it, it may very well be the placebo dosage of birth control pills containing Ethinyl Estradiol + Norethindrone. If you could have a look at the manufactuer's web site at this page: Scroll down to the second drug in the list called Necon and you can view an image as well as some additional details. If this does not seem to be what you have, can you please post back with more details? Such as which country, web site, or store it was obtained from? I hope this...

I have been on loestrin 24fe for about 8 years now. I loved it. No period and no problems with weight gain. Now that I have had to switch I am moody and gaining weight. This is problem because I am in fitness. All the exercise is not helping the moodiness or weight. I don't like this pill at all!! ## Hi Ale, Sorry to hear about your problems with minastrin. Both medications are said to contain the same active ingredients (norethindrone acetate + ethinyl estradiol + ferrous fumarate), so I'm thinking any noticeable differences (that may be having a negative effect) could probably be found in the list of "inactive ingredients" - otherwise known as binders/fillers. However, in cases like this it may be a good idea to speak with your doctor or gynecologist about having your ...

There afre no markings the back side.
