my daughter has had a uncomfortable pain in her bladder for 1 year. she is now nine. a specialist has prescribed elmiron. she took a 30 day 100mg 2x a day dose. we now will need to continue the med. because it has been dteremined it could take 3 to 6 months for full benefit... please advise

my 50lb dog ate a 100mg elmiron that fell on the floor. Will this hurt her? ## Hi Dena, Sorry to hear about your dog getting ahold of this drug. Being that Elmiron has blood thinning effects, I've read on one account that internal bleeding is a possibility among other common side effects (such as vomiting or diarrhea). In light of that it may be a good idea to look out for any signs of blood in her urine or stool. However, I would still encourage you to contact her vet as soon as possible for an examination. That way you can at least be on the safe side. Can you tell if she's been feeling ok lately?

I've taken Elmiron since 2012. Honestly, I found that I had bacterial infections that were not found by a normal lab. I used PathOGenius, in Lubbock TX. Molecular testing is the only way to identify these Biofilms. If you have a toe fungus, a sore, a upper respiratory infection that just wont go away, get in touch with PathOGenius or Granger Labs. My urine was sent to them and it took around 3 weeks to get all results back. Believe me, I am so much better! I was house bound before. ## I'm interested in your case. I take Elmiron for IC and for the past month have had several test in my vaginal area as I know I have an infection. How do I order comfora from an Indian pharmacy to the us? ## Hi Wen, If you're unable to obtain this specific medication in the US, I would actually suggest talking with your doctor about recommending anything else that might have the same active ingredient (Pentosan Polysulfate sodium) as Comfora here in the US. I'm aware of one other US-based medication by the name of "Elmiron" that also contains Pentosan Polysulfate sodium. Your doctor should be able to prescribe one or the other depending on what's available. The only difference may be in the inactive ingredients, which often vary between each manufacturer. I hope this helps!
