This is a very helpful website. I take Metformin extended release for uncontrolled blood sugar and this past week the sugars have been between 200 and 300 irregardless. Today I noticed a different coding 900/25 and called the pharmacy but there were unable to identify the pill over the phone and said to bring it in. I held onto Duratuss VIC because it was pulled from the market and the only thing controlled my frequent sinusitis. The pills are similar in shape/size and with the pharmacy frequently changing the brands it complicate the matter. The pharmacy recommended in its place Mucinex and the company recommended Mucinex D but that contains 60mg. of pseudoephedrine but I managed with only 1/2 tab of Duratuss (900/25) which would be 450/12.5mg) In past had problems with decongestants s...

oval pill white with mp 424 on one side what is this??? ## Pill Image This is Guaifenesin 600mgs and Pseudophedrine 120mgs, extended release. A generic for Duratuss, Mucinex D and others. So an over the counter med, not prescription strength, but it is used to relieve congestion from colds and such.

I have a white oval shaped pill with a line in the middle and 900 on one side and 25 on the other. Could this be Vicodin? ## This is NOT Vicodin. The pill in description is Duratuss; which contains the combination of Guaifenesin 900 mg + Phenylephrine 25 mg. (NDC 0247-1655) The principal use of guaifenesin is in the treatment of coughing, but the drug has numerous other uses, including medical, veterinary, and personal.

One side is imprinted with Whitby. The other side says 6 with a split line and 12. It is white with no specks. Half oblong pa 620 ## Hello, Are you saying that you only have half of the pill? If so, there is really no way to identify half of a pill since there could be other important imprints on the half that is missing. The closest match I can find based on the description you have provided is Duratuss G; which is a white oblong pill with the imprint ucb on one half, then a score (split line), and 620 on the other half. Duratuss G contains (1200 mg) of guaifenesin. Guaifenesin is an expectorant drug sold over the counter and usually taken orally to assist the bringing up (expectoration) of phlegm from the airways in acute respiratory tract infections. Oblong gold pill with a V on one side and the numbers 62 and 11 (scored in-between) on the other side ## This is a sustained released tablet of guifenesin 600mg (expectorant) and pseudoephedrine 120mg (decongestant). Typically used for colds, other bronchial, cough issues. Side effects cause heart palpitations, headaches and blurry vision. ## Yes, you commonly see them sold as Mucinex D, or Duratuss, among many other names, depending on who makes them.

I found two different pills in the same container labeled "Guaifenesin." One is a white oval about 3/10" thick & 4/5" long, labeled "ucb" on left,scored deeply in middle, and "620" on right. The other is a much smaller, green oval tablet, about half as thick and a bit shorter, also scored between the labels "A1" and "06." ## From all I can tell, they are both guaifenesin --but I don't believe they are prescription any more--I think it is now available OTC as Mucinex. ## Chill, you are right about them being available OTC.
