Have been told and looked ir up on the internet and it does not look good. I can cause liver disease, along with heart failur and other complications. ## Just to clarify, I don't take, nor have I ever taken Dronedarone, but I can provide you with information on it. First, all medications carry risks, this is just the nature of putting such chemicals into your body. However, letting serious medical conditions go uncontrolled is usually far more dangerous than any risks from the medications used to treat them. Dronedarone is mainly used to treat irregular heartbeat. As to the heart failure, the information on that is focuse...

Reactions with Azithromycin to dronedrone Malpaq), apo lisinopril, Lipitor??? ## Were they all prescribed by the same doctor? The Azithromycin is generally contraindicated with the Dronedarone, because it increased the risk of QT prolongation and cardiac arrhythmia. I was started on Multaq after ablation got my heart to beat normally. I has previously been in Afib 62% of every day. The ablation did not last very long and I am again in Afib most of the time. My doctors want me to continue the Multaq just the same. My only symptom is fatigue. ## Multaq contains the active ingredient Dronedarone and it is used to treat irregular heartbeat, including Atrial Fibrillation and your doctor probably wants you to continue taking it, because they fear worsening or your condition, if you stop. In addition, a sudden withdrawal of these types of medications, that affect heart function, can result in rebound effects, which could cause your condition to worsen and put you in life threatening danger. Are there any other questions? ## Some background first...... My ...

Can high dossages of Bisoprolol (5mg+0+5mg) may be used with a single dossage of Multaq 400mg (1+0+0)? Is there any sideeffects using these medicines togetherly? I am a patient of HCM (non) with irregular heartbeats age 43ys . Current treatment Concor5mg+0+Concor5mg with Plavix ## Use of the Beta Blocker Bisoprolol, with the Dronedarone in the Multaq could result in increased plasma concentrations of the Bisoprolol, this can result in Bradycardia and also increase the depressant effects of the Dronedarone. Thus, if your doctor is going to have you use them together, your dose should be carefully adjusted and you should be monitored regularly. Are there any comments or questions?

Having considerable side effects while taking amidarone. Are there other medicine's that can do the same thing, but without possibly all the other side effect's. If you could give me some alternative's I would really appreciate the help. Thank You ## Hi Larry, It is important to know that all prescription drugs pose the risk of side effects. Whether or not you respond favorably to another medication is not something anyone else can determine ahead of time either, unfortunately. A few suggestions I can offer though for other similar drugs with antiarrhythmic properties are: disopyramide dofetilide dronedarone flecainide procainamide propafenone quinidine sotalol Those are just the generic names, but I hope it helps open up your options!

I have been taking Multaq for almost 5 months. Yes it helps, maybe to much, I am exhausted it keeps me so low and irregular, I don't have the energy to do anything much. I work full time but I can't wait to drag myself home and crash. I have gained almost 23 pounds since and am very depressed. I am not sure what caused which first. I have exhausted all meds. I was on Tikosyn for 7 years, but my income exceeded the limit for the patient assist program, and 600.00 a month is a bit to much for me. I am on the medication program for Multaq, the income level is set higher so I qualify. But I don't like how it makes me feel, I was hoping someone else had some info. as to how it reacted for them. Thanks ## Multaq contains the active ingredient Dronedarone, it is mainly used to trea...
