I was put on Daliresp and my Dr gave me 21 free pills - it works wonders - then I find it is not covered yet by Ill. Medicaid. Contact forest Pharme ceuticals , they may be able to help with prescriptions - it is worth a try. ## Awesome! I am so glad that it's working for you. Your post to inform others is also greatly appreciated! Is there anything I can help with?

I have read so many good things about Daliresp. My doctor gave me a two week supply to see if I could tolerate the side effects if I had them. I have had some stomach issues and sleeplessness for the 10 days i have taken them. I am determined to make this work! I should have waited to try this new drug. I am booked for a cruise in 10 days. Should I quit taking this and try again when I get back or would I have more issues by stopping now? Or is the worst over? I was also put on Oxygen Therapy two months ago. ## Hello, Kathy! How are you? What did you end up doing? If you've not had any serious problems, after using it for a month, things should likely be fine, but only your doctor can advise you on what you should do. The FDA lists its other typical side effects as possibly includin...

If I have to pay out of pocket, what will this drug cost me per month? ## Hello, Marla! How are you? I'm sorry, but I don't have a price to quote you. It can vary from area to area, there is no universal price throughout the U.S. Have you asked your pharmacist? There is also a prescription discount card on each page of this site, towards the lower right, that is free to print. It may help save some money on it. The FDA lists Daliresp as being most commonly used to treat COPD. The typical side effects may possibly include diarrhea, weight loss, dizziness, muscle spasms and sinusitis. Is there anything else I can help with? ## My husband took his first dalirep today for C o p d. Although his pulmonary specialist told him to take one daily. I have copd/chronic bronchitis. Allergic to most albuterol, advair, and rely on primatene mist, but want to try daliresp - i'm eager to see how others are doing. ## does the use of daliresp affect libido or erectile function in male patients ## I believe that like any other medication, there are some people it works well for and others for whom it doesn't. There is another discussion on our site from people that have been using it, which you may be interested in: Richard, those aren't listed as common side effects, but it is difficult to say how any medication may affect anyone that uses it. Have you consulted your doctor?

I have been on daliresp for about a year. Now i have bad tremors. was having headaches. terrible low back pain and joint pain. I stopped taking about 5 days ago-tremors have greatly lessened. weill see about other symptoms soon I hope. also i didn't notice any change in breathing. I did notice an increase in mucous-that was continuous. even bringing up mucous didnt change or improve my breathing. Now i do not feel like i am drowning in mucous-feel much better. ## Hello, Blazer! How are you? Have things improved more, yet? I haven't taken this medication, but I have taken others that caused me to experience tremors and I hated it, so I understand, couple them with other side effects and its ridiculous. The FDA does list these issues as being possible side effects of this medicati...

I am into my fourth month with Daliresp. Doing very well now. Just about all the side effects are gone - was glad to get rid of the anxiety and insomnia. I haven't lost weight, but I have to eat alot to maintain my current weight. I have gone from 3 1/2 liters of oxygen to 2 1/2 liters without having to decrease my activity. I am happy with that. Very happy. Am anxious to see if anyone else is having any luck with this drug. The only issue I have is that it is very expensive. ## Very glad that it is working so well for you. We have some posts from other people that have been using it, here is a link to that discussion: And more information on the medication here: How are you doing, now?

I have been on Daliresp for one month. I have noticed significant improvement in my lungs. By that I mean the mucus is gone, wheezing is gone. My lungs seem to be getting clear and do not feel as heavy as they did before I started taking it. I have had my bouts of depression, I am never hungry, which is a problem because I am underweight as it is. Just wondering if anyone else has had success with this drug. I was hoping to get off oxygen at some point. Don't know if I can achieve that or not. ## I don't have a lot of information on this medication, since it is very new to the U.S. market and we haven't had a lot of posts about it, either, for the same reason. Have you tried discussing this with your doctor? They may have some ideas on how to safely increase your appetite an...

I started taking Daliresp 1-14-16 my breathing is much better but i've had 3 different spells of my lower back hurting so bad that on a scale of 1 to10 it would be 10 my back never hurt me before so i think im going to have to quit taking it because i can't stand my back hurting like this. ## Hello, Georgene! How are you? I'm sorry about the pain you've experienced. That can be a side effect of this medication, as reported by the FDA, you may also experience nausea, dizziness, dry throat and sneezing. However, most side effects are transient and go away after a month or so, once your body gets used to the medication. If this hasn't improved, it would be best to consult your doctor as it may not be the right medication for you. Is there anything else I can help with? ...

i've been on Deliresp for four weeks and have suffered no side effects other than a little shaking of the hands my breathing is great. Does there come a time that it stops working? ## Hello, Patty! How are you? Our bodies eventually get used to anything we use for a long period of time and that causes it to become less effective, however, there is no precise time frame that can be given, it varies form person to person. It may take a few months, or it could work for you for years, there's no way to know. The FDA lists the other typical side effects of this medication as possibly including headache, diarrhea, dizziness and back pain. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have only been on daliresp for 3 days, but I'm worried about the side effects. I'm a little anxious and depressed, wheezy, headache and back ache, but mostly I'm concerned about the insomnia. Does anyone have experience in how long these side effects last? Also, I finished a round of predisone about 2 weeks ago so the lack of sleeping may still be the predisone. ## The side effects of most medications usually peak at around 4 to 6 weeks of use, when they reach their maximum effectiveness in the body and they should taper off in severity, after that. And they can take several weeks to wear off, so yes, it could be due to this medication or from lingering effects of the Prednisone you took, it is hard to say. If it gets worse or doesn't start to improve, then please make...

When might be the best time of day to take this medication? Is it better to take it in the morning or evening? ## What has your doctor or pharmacist advised? In many cases, these types of medications are used in the morning, or during the day, when you are going to be out and about and therefore face the greatest possibility of being exposed to substances that can aggravate your condition. However, you should check with you doctor to be certain of the best dosing time for you.

I was worried about the side effects but I took for 2 weeks and then I got flu like symptoms, a sinus like headache, and stomach pain. The Dr said I did not have a fever and saw no reason to prescribe an antibiotic. Sadly I also did not see any improvement in anything like my Shortness of Breath so I decided to stop. My question is: Has anyone had a headache from this drug and if so did it move from one side of the your head to the other. Mine seemed to be a sinus type headache and was to be over my left eye first and now over my right. I do not have any current sinus issues. Anxious to hear anyone's experience with the headaches. ## Hello, Denny! How are you? Headaches are a known side effect of this medication, along with cough, diarrhea and joint pain. My husband is now on his 4th week of Daliresp. The side effects are still horrible but from what I have read here, they do finally go away and the breathing is much better with no flare ups. It seems like he has had almost every side effect there is from this. His breathing is getting a little better now. ## Yes, side effects normally reach their peak of intensity and then start to taper off at around 4 to 6 weeks, that's usually the time that a medication reaches its full level of effectiveness in someone's body. Learn more Daliresp details here. However, if they don't start to taper off, or if they get worse, then he should contact his doctor immediately. The side affects were so numerous, especially insomnia, nausea, and shortness of death. There were a few more.. disappointed that I had to stop. Has anyone had side affects after stopping? ## Hello, Hester! How are you? I'm sorry that you had so many problems with it. Side effects may linger for a week or two, after you stop a medication, depending on how long you were taking it. You may also be experiencing some withdrawal effects. How long has it been since you stopped using it? ## About 2weeks. Insomnia and diarrhea has almost subsided. Thanks for responding. ## I took daliresp for about 2 years and after reading tons of negative side effects and knowing it increased the risk of lung cancer, I decided to quit. The only thing you can really do in this situation is see if your doctor can keep getting the samples for you. There are some assistance programs, but they are only for people that do not have any prescription insurance coverage, at all. Have you tried checking with your insurance company to see why they won't cover it? Some of them have ce...
