I have been taking oral Cytoxan100 mg/daily for 5 weeks and I have another 7 weeks ahead. I was wondering if anyone has taken this treatment and if the side effects will get better? I am taking the drug for advanced stage Nile Disease (Minimal Change Disease) and am dealing with water retention anyway - but with the drug it is very hard to control - and the water pill (2x 20g Torsemite/daily) is no longer effective as before. But the worst is the nausea that does not go away - I am taking Ondansetron - and it keeps me from vomiting, but all day long with - very short breaks - I feel nausea, bloating in my stomach, and overall live my days in a fog. I have returned to work and it is just miserable to just get through the day. In the evening I have no engery and usually go to bed around 7...

I am starting cellcept tomorrow so that I can finally go off of imuran and eventually prednisone. Have been on many meds for 16 yrs after being diagnosed with dermatomyositis. Also have fibromyalgia...hope to hear from someone who has had success with this medication. The Doctor has a lot of positive things to say about this med including little or no side affects. Looking forward to hearing from you. ## I have pulmonary fibrosis & am starting cellcept now. I've been on lots of other meds but it just keeps getting worse. They took me off cytoxan after 6 months. That didnt stop it. I walk slow, but I get there... ## I've been on it for 1 1/2 yrs. It has almost put lupus in remission. I've been on imuran and IV cytoxan since 2001. It's a very good therapy. ## Better no...

I have been taking blood thiners for the past 4 days now. Ever since I have been taking the blood thiner blood comes out in my urine. Does the blood thiner cause this to happen? And if so, why? ## From what I've read, if you can see blood in your urine, you should probably get an evaluation as soon as possible. At least to make sure that there's nothing serious taking place. Common drugs that may cause visible urinary blood include, but are not limited to: Blood thinning medications (such as aspirin, warfarin, or heparin), penicillin, and the anti-cancer drug cyclophosphamide (Cytoxan). Does anyone happen to know why blood thinners cause this, or Is it simply a matter of blood viscosity?

My son & daughter-in-law are heroin addicts. Cytoxan is something new that was told to us by an addict. Just wondering if anyone has tried it and is it effective? ## My fiance was addicted to pain medication and he used cytoxan to get off of Vicodin. So far it's working pretty well. He doesn't feel the need for Vicodin like he used to. I think it's worth trying ## cytoxan is a chemo drug and not used for rehab purposes. has no high effect. but it will make you throw up even w/o the high ## Yes, this is not approved to treat addiction and thus it is also not proven safe to be used to such treatments.
