Coreg Cr Carvedilol Phosphate

Carvedilol, sold under the brand name Coreg among others, is a medication used to treat high blood pressure, congestive heart failure (CHF), and left ventricular dysfunction in people who are otherwise stable.[1] For high blood pressure, it is generally a second-line treatment.[1] It is taken by mouth.[1] Common side effects include dizziness, tiredness, joint pain, low blood pressure, nausea, and shortness of breath.[1] Severe s...

I just started taking Coreg CR and I have had a sore throat for two days. Has anyone had this happen to them? ## This is a very common side effect when you start taking the medication. It should wear after a week or so as your body adjusts to the medication. If it doesn't, then you will need to speak to your doctor. ## Yes, I get a sore throat that comes and goes with generic Coreg.

I take Coreg CR in the morning (that is what is recommended on the insert) however, it makes me very dizzy for about three to four hours. Would it be okay to take in the evening? What is the purpose of taking this in the a.m.? ## Coreg CR contains the active ingredient Carvedilol, it is most commonly used to treat congestive heart failure. I'm guessing the reason they probably have you take it in the morning is due to the fact that it's time released, that way it lasts all day. The dizziness can be a common side effect of these types of medications, along with: anxiety, nightmares and panic attacks. I take 20 mg of Coreg cr at bedtime and would like to take celexa 5 mg at night also to see if it makes a difference in the weight gain I am experiencing with the Celexa. ## Hi, Carla! Sorry about the problem you're having. However, I really don't think that taking it at night is going to change the side effects that the Celexa can cause. If they're happening, they're going to happen and SSRI antidepressants are very well known for causing weight gain. Once you take it and are on it for awhile, so it's reached its efficacy level in your body, changing the time of day you take it, isn't going to stop it from occurring. If it's really becoming a problem, then you'd be better served to speak to your doctor about trying a different medication. There are some ...

is carca-25 safe to take for high blood pressure ## Hi, Charlotte! How are you? Carvedilol is no more or less safe than any other medication and it is actually known to cause less side effects than many others. Learn more Carvedilol details here. Really, it is much safer to take the medication your doctor wants you to try, than it is to just let your blood pressure continue to soar out of control, since that creates the risk of heart attack, stroke and congestive heart failure. Has your doctor prescribed it?

for heart failure ## Need to know about Carbotelol, Coreg, and Crestor-indications of use, precribed dosage ranges, side effects, contraindications with kidney problems ## The name of the first medication is actually Carvedilol, it is a beta blocker that's used to help treat high blood pressure and several cardiac conditions. You can learn more Carvedilol details here. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache and decreased blood flow to extremities. Coreg is just the name brand for it, not a different medication. Crestor contains the active ingredient Rosuvastatin, which is most commonly used to help lower cholesterol.
