I have know to know that cod liver oil is good for you and have many benfits is that true? ## While it is good for you, it was not very good for the cod. ## It is supposed to be a great source of Omega fatty acids, vitamin A, and vitamin D. If you are going to try this supplement I would highly recommend getting the gel caps which are filled with it instead of buying the oil and having to take a spoon of it LOL. If you'd rather try plant-based supplements which may offer similar benefits look into hemp or flax seed, but I still think that cod liver oil may offer the highest levels of what you want. Is it safe to take codesoft while planning for pregancy. ## Hi Pinky, Well it looks like Codesoft is simply a combination of Evening Primose Oil (cod liver oil) and vitamin E; which in my opinion is safe to take while planning for pregnancy. This isn't a drug (it can be found in many whole foods, like cod, salmon, etc.) and unless you are somehow allergic to Vitamin E or Omega 3 fatty acid then this is fine to take at any time. I am not a doctor, but since these are natural ingredients found in common food there shouldn't be any risks. We are from India. My wife who is 75 years of age & is diabetic & hypertensive was advised by her physician in India to take the following supplement: E-Cod Cap manufactured by Sanofi India. This capsule contains: Cod liver oil 100 mg, Wheat Germ Oil 200 mg, Fish Lipid Oil 150 mg, Tocotreinols (50%) 5 mg & Vitamin E (Acetate) 10mg. ## This nefedipine is the only high blood pressure drug that has brought my bp down but the docs won't let me change because it constipates me severely. What can I do, have tried Miralax, benefiber, bran, cod liver oil and stool softeners always have to resort to laxatives. ## I am finding myself constipated all the time as well with this medication and nothing works but laxatives. My 18 yr.old daughter was diagnosed with a vitamin D defiency.After reading on line about vitamin D3, I wonder if they prescribed what is best for her, which was Drisdol 1.25 MG. Why 2 D2's and no D3? Would a good grade of cod liver oil be a better choice? ## If they prescribed her Drisdol, they did NOT prescribe her the best form of Vitamin D. The reason that they did not give her D3 is that D3 does not come in prescription form and, well, when you have a prescription pad, it's hard to tell your patient to go to the drug store and go buy something. I am trying to find out where I can buy Comfortine Ointment. It is a Pink thick cream sold in a jar or tube. It use to use it for diaper rashes or sores and it was very good. Sore throat and swollen glands since Thanksgiving. Took Amoxicillin 7 days, problem resolved but came back few days later with same symptoms plus a sore swollen lump under my chin. Yesterday started Clyndamicin 300 mg 3x daily. Day 2 still having difficulty swallowing and concerned about the swollen lump under my chin??? ## Blood test at lab came back negative for strep throat so doctor advised me to go off Clyndamicin. Recovered from the virur on day 7 by sipping home made soup, whiskey with warm water, lemon and honey and taking a tsp of cod liver oil as couldn't swallow pills. Completely recovered now.
