I have been taking three D 500 CAL tablets per day for the last two years. This was prescribed to me for high PTH and low calcium. The condition is now normal. I have been told that this supplement will continue for maintenance. Is there any risk of kidney stone formation if I continue this dose? Will it be better if calcium carbonate is replaced by calcium citrate? ## is it possible that vit. d3 can cause miscarriage to a pregnant woman?

There is calcium carbonate in the Oncovite ingredients and I am wondering about the interaction with Nitrofurantoin mono mac 100 mg ## Yes, the calcium can cause you to absorb less of the Nitrofurantoin. However, it says that this can be avoided if you take them at least 2 hours apart. Since the calcium coats you stomach, it prevents full absorption of the medication if they are taken at the same time. You should double check this with your doctor or pharmacist, but that is what is currently listed. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hi, I'm 17 and I've just started taking Magnesium, Calcium, Omega-3 fish oil and Iron supplements for anxiety/stress, to improve mood, energy and overall health. I've done a bit of research on these but have questions about when and how to take them and want to make sure it's safe to take these everyday until I feel better. Also I would like to know if anyone has any advice and experience on taking one or more of these. I especially want to take magnesium & omega 3 but I think that calcium and iron will also be helpful. I am not deficient in iron or calcium but I know that I have slightly low levels but doctor said it wouldn't affect me but I would take them anyway. The calcium I am taking - contains calcium carbonate 1500mg and vitamin D3. Twice a day, to be taken

What are the effects and side effects of Calten D? ## Calten-D contains: Calcium carbonate, Vitamin D3, and Elemental Zinc. This is simply a prenatal Vitamin and Mineral supplement to help support a healthy pregnancy. As far as side effects go, if the dose of this medication is higher than the US RDA (recommended daily allowance) there is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk (e.g., if the drug is needed in a life-threatening situation or for a serious disease for which safer drugs cannot be used or are ineffective). Please post back if you have any other questions or comments to add.

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, and dry mouth. I have a bottle of them in our bathroom, since I suffer from GERD. Are there any questions?
