My doctor said to go to eye doctor and she is taking me off of it. Anybody else had this affect their eyesight? I also definately had frequent urination the first 2 nights. ## Yes and still do after stopping and seeing eye doctor, getting new lens. I also had a lot of joint pains aches. I just takes Caltrate ## New lens, like for glasses? So, it didn't go back to normal even after you started it? That's scary. Thanks for taking time to let me know there is somebody else it has done that to. ## Eye problems are known side effects of Boniva, according to FDA reports, and in most cases, they go away, a...

idrofos 150 tablet manufactured by Sun Pharma ## This contains the active ingredient Ibandronate, commonly sold in the U.S. under the brand name Boniva. It is used to help treat and prevent bone loss, from conditions such as Osteoporosis. You can read more on it here: Do you have any questions? ## what country is this made in? ## Idrofos is made in India, by Sun Pharma. Most of the medications that are made and used in India are not approved to be used in the U.S. On many of them, there are already U.S. approved brands available. My mom is taking Fosamax [Alendronic Acid], she is taking it exactly as directed and is still getting terriible burning in her esophagus. She is really suffering. She says there are no alternative medications she can switch to. Are there any remedys she can take to help ease the burning in her esophagus? Supplements, Vitamins, anything like that? Any help anyone can give me would be greatle appreciated, as i Said, she is really suffering Thanks in Advance!! ## There are alternative medications that she could try, such as Prolia, Zometa, and Boniva to name a few, as well as several more. She should ask her doctor about trying a different one. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and joint/muscle aches. How is she doing, now?

had a reclast injection12/8/09 I had shorten on breath after the body aches and slight fever is this normal? I have rapid heartbeat everytime I try to doing anything like running the sweeper, dusting & etc. ## Flu-like symptoms exist in about 15% of patients who have Reclast (meaning 85% don't experience it). Your doctor should have told you to take Tylenol the day of your infusion and for three days following the infusion. You should have also drank two glasses of water the morning of the infusion, and eat normally. The body aches have been seen in clinical trials, but this is the case for all drugs in the class (to include Fosamax, Boniva, and Actonel). FYI, when a patient takes Reclast, 61% of the solution binds straight to the bones where it's needed and the remaining 39...

My mom's doctor recently changed her to this drug. He said Bonvia wasn't any good, but her insurance will not over this drug as a cheaper tier 2 drug. The insurance copy is saying that they are "equal". Does anyone know if the active ingredients are the same? We are also wandering if the Dr. is getting "kickback" to get patients to use this drug? ## I have been diagnosed with Osteoporosis & the Doctor gave me Atelvia 35mg. I have not taken it yet because I too want to know if he is pushing it because of Kickbacks. I read under the FDA that it has only been tested for a year. I am not inclined to take something that is not tried and true. ## Atelvia 35mg is a much better medication for treating osteopenia and osteoporosis than Boniva. Boniva is not very effect...
