What is the difference between Bisoprolol Fumarate and Enderol? Both beta-blockers, that's all I know ## I have received no replies to my question so far. I reside in Alberta and am presently taking 10 mg/dy of Bisoprolol Fumarate. I have talked to others who suggested that Enderol is an equivalent drug that might be an alternative option. Is it? ## Inderal contains the active ingredient Propranolol, so it is also a beta blocker, just as you mentioned. The equivalent dosage may be different, but they treat the same things medically. The side effect profile is also the same and can include: nausea, dizziness, headache and stomach pain. Learn more: Is the Bisoprolol working for you? Is it causing problems from side effects? If it isn't, there really wouldn't be any point in sw...

can you overdose on this medication ## It's possible to overdose on any medication, if you take too much of it. Bisoprolol is a beta blocker that is commonly used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions. Since it does have an effect on heart function and circulation, taking too much of it can result in severely lowered blood pressure and heart rate, either of which could put someone in danger of death. Are there any comments or questions?

Hi. I'm on 1.25mg per day of Bisoprolol Fumarate. My resting heart rate goes down to about 45 BPM at times. Should I be concerned? ## Hi Paul, Some safety guidelines for this medication state that your blood pressure should be checked regularly to determine your response to bisoprolol. Your doctor may ask you to check your pulse (heart rate) and if your pulse is faster or slower than it should be, it recommends that you call your doctor. I do agree that 45 bpm is pretty low and could possibly mean that you should adjust your dosage a bit if at all possible. 1.25mg appears to be a pretty low dose of the medication, but I'd ask your doctor about cutting it in half if need be. I hope this helps! ## Thanks for this excellent, detailed response, David. Great advice!

Hi. I'm on 1.25mg per day of Bisoprolol Fumarate. My resting heart rate goes down to about 45 BPM at times. Should I be concerned? ## Have you talked to your doctor about it? That is a very low heart rate, so it may signify another health problem, or it could mean that this just isn't the right medication for you to use.

I should be taking one bisoprolol fumarate 2.5mgm tablet daily and like Teva brand but pharmacist could not get that particular strength so has given me 1.25mgm to take two daily.I suffer bad side effects from most medication and have been very uncomfortable since taking lower strength tablets with full feeling in stomach followed by uncomfortable feeling in intestines. Is this because I am taking twice the am mound of " carrier"ingredients which cause most of my adverse side effects. ## @Beany You are not taking 2x the carrier ingredients. The mass of a 1.25 mg tablet is not the same as a 2.5mg tablet. Further, microcrystalline cellulose is simply refined woodpulp and is a common bulking agent is not water soluble even in stomach acids. ## And my question is, how do you know tha...

I have been taking 5 mg x 2 of Bisoprolol Fumarate for about 10 years. Recently pharmacy substituted Bisoprol Fumarate. For the past few months I have experienced itching like crazy with small bumps. I have heard of this reaction to Toporol, but am wondering if this substitution could be the culprit for me. ## Bisoprol is just another brand name for Bisoprolol, so the active ingredient is the same, however, the inactive ingredients could be different and that may be what is causing your problem. Not many people react to them, which is why they are considered inactive, but even though it is rare, it does happen. Have you consulted your doctor? It sounds like it could be hives, which is an allergic reaction, so it is important that you get too the root of the problem.

I have been taking BISOPR/HCTZ 10/6.25 for quite some time with very good results. I recently began seeing the VA and was prescribed Hydrochloriothiazide 25MG, half a tablet a day along with Bisoprolol Fumarate 10MG a day in place of it. Is this okay? It seems at even half a tablet, the Hydrochlorothiazide is a little high. ## It is commonly used in much higher doses than that. Has your blood pressure been under control? Did they give you a reason for the switch in dosage? It may lower your blood pressure even more or cause some dehydration if you are not carefully monitored.

I found this pill in my house it says Teva on one side with the numbers 5720 on the other. Can someone help me out? I have teenagers and am concerned. ## It's bisoprolol. Round yellowish/gold pill with a M in a square around it on 1 side, and 505 on the other (I think). What is this? I was told it was a Percocet 40. ## A round yellow tablet marked [M] inside a box on one side and 595 on the other side is Oxycodone Hydrochloride Extended Release 40 mg (NDC 00406-0595). The difference between Percocet and this is that Percocet also contains Acetaminophen (Tylenol). Manufacturer: Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals Hope this helps! ## The closest match I could locate is a pill imprinted with "M" on one side (not in a box) and "505" on the other. It is also a white pill and not yellowish/gold as you described. This pill is identified as Bisoprolol fumarate (10mg) + hydrochlorothiazide (6.25 mg); which is used to treat high blood pressure.
