it is a yellow pill ## I have two prescriptions for Clarith romycin but the pills are no the same. The older one has oblong yellow pale pills with DV on one side and D on the other. The brand new prescription has larger more tapered oval pills, the same pale yellow, stample 7158 on one side, and 93 on the other. Are both 500mg Clarithromycin tablets as stated on bottles?? ## Yes, these both contain 500mgs of Clarithromycin, just made by different manufacturers. I'm allergic to Clindamycin (severe cellulitis of lower extremities). So, I'd like to know if I can take Biaxin for Folliculitis? ## It is a different, but related medication. I have a history of heart arrthymias and just started taking Biaxin. After 2 days of taking 500 mg. 2 x day I seem to be having more arrhythmias. There is also a horrible taste in my mouth. My Dr said I had some fluid in one ear and a possible sinus infection. Three people I've been in contact with recently had these same symptoms which makes me think this is a virus but would amoxicillin be a better choice for me? ## Amoxicillin is an antibiotic in a different class than the clarithromycin you are taking but still an antibiotic. I found a yellow oval shaped pill with a weird e looking thing on one side and a kl on the other side. I was wondering what kinda pill it is and if it was a pain pill? ## The marking is actually a stylized a with KL on the opposite side.
