I just started Beyaz a little over a week ago, knowing I was going to be expecting my period in a week. My doctor said I could start any time I like, though she recommended I start during the first 24 hours when I did start my period. Am I supposed to be worried if I don't quite start on time or is the Beyaz just effective now because it's passed the 7 days and I'll get it later on? I've only fooled around with my boyfriend once after the 7th day but he pulled out... I'm just really new to birth control. Thank you! ## Normally, when you start a hormonal contraceptive, it will adjust your menstrual cycle accordingly, so you can expect to have your next regular period at the time the contraceptive allows you to do so, which would be during the placebo pill week. I started taking Lo Loestrin Fe on July 2nd, 2012. I was previously on Beyaz for about a year until my yearly checkup with my gynecologist. She switched me to Lo Loestrin Fe because of all of the recent blood clot and legal scares with Beyaz. Anyway, on Beyaz, I was used to having a VERY regular period that started the morning of my last pill in the pack. I was expecting to get my period on the same day as usual with Lo Loestrin Fe, but I have never actually bled. All that I have been shedding is a thick, brown substance. This was normal in the beginning and end of my periods on Beyaz, but on Lo Loestrin Fe, I have never actually had a normal period. I don't know if this is because of the hormonal differences in the pills or if I am pregnant. It is currently 2 days after I should ha...

Found a tan or orangish pill that is round with no markings on one side and an M+ inside a hexagon on the other side. What is this? ## I found same thing and googled. Found your question with no reply. Turns out this is one of the pills from a Safyral birth control monthly pack. ## @Angie, I can confirm that the pill in question is indeed Safyral levomefolate calcium (0.451 mg), also known as Beyaz. It is an oral contraceptive developed by Bayer. Its contraceptive ingredients are ethinylestradiol, an estrogen and drospirenone, a synthetic progestogen, making it a combined oral contraceptive pill. It also contains folate as levomefolic acid calcium salt, to lower the risk of complications such as fetal neural tube defects should the drug fail as contraceptive. Manufacturer: Bayer HealthC...

Ok I just recently got on birth control about 4 days ago and I just thought about something. Before I took birth control my period always lasted around 3-4 days. Now that I'm on the pill, there are 7 white pills for your period.... arent the white pills just to keep you on track? like they dont protect you at all right? so do I have to take the white pills all 7 days...like if I end my period early, do I have to keep taking the white pills? Like if I start taking the white pills on sunday, get my period that day, and then it ends...say...thursday, do i just take the white pills still for the rest of that week or do I start taking the next blue pills? ## I am not very familiar with Sprintec, but I have been on Beyaz for years now which is a 24/4 birth control pill (24 active pills ...

does this antibiotic affect the birth control pill beyaz when taken together ## Sulfamethoxazole with Trimethoprim, the active ingredients in Bactrim is an antibiotic, used to treat various types of infections. And I did research this and it seems the answer is still uncertain, there are just as many clinicians and researchers that think it does, as there are that think it does not. Thus, based on this, which really isn't an answer, I can only suggest that you abstain from sex, while using it, or that you use a backup method of birth control. Are there any other questions?

My boyfriend and I have been together for 11 months. I started taking BeYaz a month before we became sexually active and we used condoms for the first 4 months of our relationship. About that time my doctors switched me to Loestron 24 FE after my periods stopped. I've been on Loestrin now for 7 months give or take, I've never missed a pill. I'm very diligent as we don't want another baby for 3 more years when our daughter is 5. (He is not her bio father). For the first time in our relationship, he came in me 6 days ago. I don't know if I'm being paranoid and making the symptoms appear, but I'm having a lot of similar symptoms that I had in my first pregnancy. Am I just being paranoid? I'm going to call my doctor and schedule an appointment for 4 weeks fro...
