My boyfriend was diagnosed with small cell carcinoma in August while in the hospital with pneumonia. Straight out of the hospital into radiation and chemo treatments in which he was unable to finish. No one has mentioned immunotherapy to us as an alternative. His last blood work results said his count was within normal limits so would he have a chance of atezolizumab and immunotherapy helping him? He's 59 yrs old, has good appetite, already had AFib before diagnosed with cancer, has Medicare/Aid. We live in NW Tn. Is there hope for success for him?
