I am 8 months pregnant. Want to know what is the effect of using ecosprin during last 3 months of pregnancy? ## whats the effect? ## The active ingredient in Ecosprin is Aspirin (ASA) and it should be abstained in the third trimester of pregnancy. According to the FDA it is not formally assigned a pregnancy category but it is most closely classified as falling into D, meaning that it is not safe. When my wife was pregnant her doctor said that the only pain killer she can take is Acetaminophen (the ingredient in Tylenol), or Acetaminophen with Codeine if absolutely necessary.
