I was suffering from typhoid and malaria i was put on Artesunate IV one day and rocephin IV for five days, on first day i had diarrhea and dizziness then i was ok for four days then later i developed new symptoms like shoulder pain,neck muscle pain,bloating,belching and my poop is not hard as it used to be before medication. I have been through this for two months now.Please let me know if it is herxing because i had that someone can herx from typhoid treated with rocephin or if my symptoms are related to something else. Could you please help explain, if during reconstitution of the injection someone were to add sodium chloride 1st and then sodium bicarbonate later what would happen? Also if such type of reconstituted injection is injected IV what adverse events will happen and what will be the antidote? Thanx.
