Stopped for 8 months. Was producing A level of 300 by following dr Mercolas Natural plan. Went back on Androgel per Dr. On the new 1.62 formula 3 pumps for 4 months. Was on 1% at 6 pumps. Actually did 4. 6 was too much Now I'm noticing poor sensitivity to arousal. I was performing better without Viagra before I stopped and restarted HRT. Perhaps have my hemoglobin too high ? I try to donate blood per dr to regulate it as HRT causes hemoglobin to increase. I eat healthy and exercise. Very fit No changes made. But Perf is not what it was. Cholesterol and BP are good. I have been on testim 1% for 6 years and my TT has consistently been in the range of 450-500, using 2 tubes daily. Last May, my insurance company dropped testim and I am now starting to use Androgel 1.62. My new endocrinologist took me offer everything for 2 weeks to see where my numbers were. My TT was 190 an bioavailable and free T were 1/2 the # (bottom range) for both. My new doctor has started me on 1 pump daily of the 1.62. I have been on 2 pumps or 40.5mg of ANDROGEL for 33 days and I feel much better physically and mentally. I was tested about 2 years ago and had a T level at around 280, which is low for a 44yr old straight male. I was also on a large dose of opiates (8 yrs.) which most likely caused my drop in T- production over the years. I've been on Androgel 10 yrs. Initially, an injection at first caused extreme mood swings. Then pump (4 pumps/ day = complete dose), started reducing last year, now 1/day. But, when I stop completely: profuse sweating, easily irritated, mood swings (like andropause - "mano-pause"). ## Rick how long have u been off now and are your symptoms getting better? Hello, I am a 50 yr old male diagnosed with a 225 T level and was prescribed Androgel pump 1.62% in January 2014.I started applying it and did not see a huge noticeable change in my energy level but I thought I'd give it some time to absorb. After about 3 weeks I started getting dizzy especially when I was sitting and working on my computer.Stopped using it now for a month. But the effect remains! At first I thought it was eye or ear related. Both were ruled out by extensive eye and ear tests. Has anyone noticed such a side effect? My husband has been using Androgel gel pump for over 10 years. Recently he tested over 1200 and then 2400 3 months later. We have no explanation for this other than maybe his body has begun making it's own testosterone again. ## Has your husband changed his diet while on this medication? If this is so, I know that to some degree, one's eating habits can effect the body's ability to effectively restore testosterone production; of course with the help of this supplement it can be common. 4 pumps of fortesta to the inner thigh is very greasy. I was on androgel before I was switched to fortesta due to insurance other than transfer issues to other people are other application sites ok? I have been using androgel for about 2 months now 1 pump a day. At first life was great I was always horny and always had a rock hard erection. But in the past 2-3 weeks it is almost impossible for me to get an erection. I have been on 3 pumps per day of 1.62% for about a week. I took it for ED and low libido and fatigue. I know its not that long, but I don't notice anything on fatigue, but I think I have been hornier. Also, when masturbating to computer porn, I think I have been able to get pretty hard erections, harder than before. However, last night tried to have sex with wife, and same old problem, not hard enough to penetrate. It doesn't help that she is about 30-40 lbs overweight, so it is harder to get aroused with her body. Also, probably getting some performance anxiety. I have been on four pumps of Androgel for about a year. I have noticed that if my erection is really strong I can't feel ejaculation, or other times I don't have a strong erection I still ejaculate. I was wondering if other men had experienced this?

I use AndroGel 1.62 40.5 mg (2 pumps per day). Because of the alcohol base, im wondering if using it can cause a false positive test for alcohol consumption in urine, blood, and Breathalyzer tests. ## The andogel can make me false/positive on drug screen? ## Ummm not a chance buddy. After using Axiron for two or three months, after using Androgel first, for a few months, a blood test taken at my doctor's office showed and overly high red blood cell count. I was using only one pump, split between both armpits. I was instructed to go to a "blood center", or lab, for a phlebotomy, or blood withdrawal.
