I found out that I was allergic to this when my dentist put desensitizer on my teeth...my lips swelled like a duck! I am also a scrub nurse and been having trouble with the CHG scrub and the cavacide.... I found a relation to the cavacide to benzalkonium...however I am interested in finding out if this drug is related to any similar families that would also make me swell. I am slowly finding answers...also I have never been given the TDaP shot until 2 days ago and my lips swelled again like a duck... Any chance you could help me with a relation between this drug and any others? ## You would actually be better served to see an allergist/immunologist, so you can be tested for specific allergens, and discover what to avoid. I have used products with the combo of Chlorpheniramine Maleate 4 mg, Pseudoephedrine hcl 60 mg, on a spot basis for years. Now I can't find, under any of the brand names, in any of the stores, I have used in the past. They were under control, requiring gov't ID at the Pharmacy counter. Was this not enough? Have they all been banned? Triaminic Cold & Allergy also had same ingredients. ## Their disappearance from pharmacy shelves is due to the restrictions causing severely lowered sales. This caused many companies to switch to using Phenylephrine. Have you tried talking to your doctor about it? I believe they can still prescribe Pseudoephedrine, which may make it easier for you to find. Ref: Medline Plus Pseudoephedrine Pseudoephedrine may cause side effects, such as nausea, ...

Hives definitely indicate an allergic reaction of some sort. Not sure if it is the Chlorogenic Acid or the interaction of it with all of the other meds you are taking. I advise you to discontinue using it and confer with your Doctor before using again. You can also look up your medications online and check to see if they have any interactions with Chlorogenic Acid... If they do not list any, then it definitely is an allergic reaction to the Chlorogenic Acid.

allergic to diclofenac can i take chlorzoxazone ## Hi rich, From what I could gather, Chlorzoxazone is in a class of medications called skeletal muscle relaxants. Diclofenac on the other hand, is listed as a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). So if you are allergic to one, there shouldn't be any problems using the other, since they are not the same type of medication. I would however recommend discussing this with your Dr first, just to be on the safe side; as some people may be allergic to more than one type of substance. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Chlorzoxazone Details Is this your first time taking either of those medications?

I want to know the differnce between Stahist and Respa AR. I have taken Respa AR and have had excellent results. The pharmacy was out of Respa and gave me Stahist. (per the doctor of course). What is the difference? They both have the drying agent (which is very good) but they are differnt drugs. Are there different side-effects? ## Stahist contains Pseudoephedrine and Chlorcyclizine. Respa AR contains Pseduoephedrine and Chlorpheniramine. They both can be used to treat the same issues, and have very similar side effect profiles, which the FDA lists as possibly including nausea, headache, dry mouth, nervousness, and stomach pain. Ref: Pseudoephedrine Information, Chlorcyclizine Information, and Chlorpheniramine Information. Did the Stahist help you, at all?

This medication is reportedly used for allergies. The generic name is: chlorphen/pse/methscopamine. ## Is there a generic for Pannaz? ## Hi everyone, In the description, the chemical combination of "chlorphen/pse/methscopamine" refers to Chlorpheniramine + Methscopolamine + Pseudoephedrine (brand names include DuraHist and Xiral SR). The active ingredients in Pannaz are actually listed as Carbinoxamine + Methscopolamine + Pseudoephedrine. "Carbinoxamine and methscopolamine are antihistamines that reduce the natural chemical histamine in the body. Histamine can produce symptoms of sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and runny nose. Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant that shrinks blood vessels in the nasal passages. Dilated blood vessels can cause nasal congestion (stuffy nose). Ca...

Therefore, do not use this product to treat cold symptoms in children younger than 6 years unless specifically directed by the doctor.
