My husband has artheritis and is taking tramadol twice a day (50mg.) his dr. said he would take one every 4 hrs but he doesn't, so maybe that's why it does not help the pain very much... can he also take orycodine/500ms. acetaminphen with the tramadol ## Hello, Lillie! red kali 083 ## WHAT IS IT USED FOR? ## This is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, it contains both Acetaminophen and Tramadol so it is a little stronger than just Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen alone. It is non-narcotic, so it is really mild and only helps with minor aches and pain.

I have Ankylosing Spondylitis. Got Cortisone shots in my lumbar region and Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen 5-500 tb and Tramadol ER 200 mg from my rheumatologist. What is the Tramadol for? Can I take one hydrocodone acetaminophen 10 325 and one tramadol 50 mg together? One 10 325 does not help much. I do not want to take two 10 325. The pain in my hip and leg is severe. I have severe and chronic skeletal pain. Have been taking Tramadol 50mg. the Acetaminophen has caused painful liver symptoms. Is there a pain medication that DO NOT have acetaminophen? ## Hello, Audrey! How are you? What have you been taking exactly? If it's just Tramadol 50mgs, then there is no Acetaminophen in it. If it contains Acetaminophen, then there should be a second dosage listed. That said, there are many options available that do not contain Acetaminophen, including Tramadol by itself, Oxycodone, Hydromorphone, Oxymorphone and Morphine. The FDA classifies these mediations as being narcotic analgesics, so they carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizzies, headache, constipation and dry mouth.

These both contain 37.5mgs of Tramadol with 325mgs of Acetaminophen, they have just been manufactured by different companies, which is very common with generics. The FDA classifies this medication as an opioid, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. If the medication has caused constipation and you're straining to have a bowel movement, that may cause your hemorrhoids to become irritated and result in some bleeding, the same if your stool is just harder than usual. What is the difference in the drug called Apo/Tramadol/Acet 325/37.5 mg to the drug Tramadol 300 mg. I have run out of my Trmadol and have the Apo/Tramodol on hand but am not sure of the dosage if it is the same? ## Call your druggist...they can help you. ## The Tramadol that you were taking was 300mgs of just Tramadol by itself in an extended release formulation. The tablet that you've asked about from Apotex contains 325mgs of Acetaminophen and only 37.5mgs of the Tramadol, it's often prescribed under the brand name Ultracet. Hi; I am taking highblood pressure medicine, Lisnopril-htcz 20/25mg tab and amlodipine Besylate 5mg table. I am taking a blood-thinner called Clopidogrel bisulfate (Plavix oral) 75mg, I also have a vitamin d deficiency so I am taking vit d 50,000 iu d2 (ergo) caps (RX). I have been taking tramadol a long time. For it to work, now I take 7 at a time (my doctor doesn't know this of course) and I thing I've been having mild seizures from it. I also have Hep C and my liver enzymes were 500 (got lab test) and my Primary doctor actually called me at home last night to tell me to see my specialist and not to take Aspirin, Tylenal, Advil. I'm on pain management for 3 bulging now possibly herniated discs(I have to get a new MRI and EMG This week) and a knee falling apart from botched surgery. My tramadol is blank on one side and "AN627" on the other. Does it contain aspirin? ## No, this tablet contains just 50mgs of Tramadol, an analgesic, the active ingredient in Ultram. Tramadol is also not available coupled with Aspirin, it is only available coupled with Acetaminophen, as a generic or under the brand name Ultracet. I had surgery yesterday. I was given Tramadol and it is not alleviating the pain. Saw a new ortho surgeon. Was taking Hydrocodone/Acetamenaphine 10-325. For lower back pain. He said "oh no, Don't take that!" and presribed Tramadol 50 mg. Why? ## Because it can be highly addictive. Also it is going to go from a Schedule III to a Schedule II, Oct 6, 2014. That means no refills, it can't be called in and you must see your dr at least every 90 days.
