Taking 875 mg of amox for strep. On since sun it's wed now I have a cold and my throat hurts again. Took it for 1 week. 1 tab every 12 hours. I've taken them all. How will I know if the infection is gone? Dentist cleaned some out after an extraction. ## Hello, Emmalee! How are you? Are you experiencing any pain, swelling or foul breath odor? If not, then the antibiotic has most likely worked, since those are all potential symptoms of an infection as detailed by the NIH. Do I put patch on and continue to take my norco till the fentanyl patch gets in to my system at full strength? I take two nor ps 10-325 every 6 hrs and they wear off at 4-5 hrs so pain comes on strong. I've read that it takes 12 to 24 hours for fentanyl to reach its peak so till it kicks it will I be safe to take reg dose of norco? Do not want to go to sleep and not wake up!
