Hello, I'm on norco 10/325 5 times a day and I just got my dosage raised to 6 times a day. My question is will I be able to get it filled early sine the dosage is different? Thank you! :) ## It will depend on the pharmacist and your insurance. It also depends on how early you would be getting it filled. ## Thanks for the reply, it will be 6 days early. ## There's really no way of knowing until you go to the pharmacy. ## most will go is THREE days early.. sorry, experience.. ## Thanks for the reply, even if it's a different quantity? ## The problem is you have to finish out the 30 day script that you were on before they fill a new script with the new dosage. I'm assuming that your dosage went up because you were running out too soon each month. Just call your pharmacist a...

I have been taking tromadol for 4 years. I just had surgery and was given the strongest Norco. I want to stop taking tromadol all together and see how I do with over the counter for arthritis. Can I taper tramadol while taking the Norco or will side effects be worse when I'm out of Norco? ## Actually, Norco is stronger than Tramadol, so it would usually cause the worst withdrawals. The FDA lists it typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. How long will you be on the Norco? ## 7 days is all I am taking the Norco. I am off work 2 to 4 weeks so I thought it would be a good time to taper the tramadol.

In the detroit area there is a incredible shortage of norco. Pharmacy's say they have no info. Called FDA. Release date dec 15th add 3-4 days for delivery from distributors. I'm just trying to be patient but I'm finding it difficult. If you frequent a CVS pharmacy STOP they are so rude. Find a neighborhood pharmacy ## Hello, Sa Bic! How are you? I'm sorry that you're having a problem getting your prescription filled. It is common for shortages to occur towards the end each year, due to DEA mandated manufacturing limits on controlled substances. Once a manufacturer reaches their limit for the year, they can no longer manufacture new product, until after the new year. Inevitable, demand exceeds supply and shortages occur. According to the FDA, this is a narcotic analge...

I have been taking 10/325 norco for many years. A few days ago I received my medication and found it had been replaced with Aurobindo Pharm U03 imprint. They make me feel very ill with a headache nausea and worse they do not take my pain away at all. I also feel very dizzy. How has the FDA approved this Indian company? Has anyone else had a problem with the U03 10/325 hydrocodone. Im frightened to take them but need pain relief. ## Yes, your pharmacy couldn't dispense it to you, if it weren't FDA approved. But there can be fluctuations from one generic medication to another, or when going from the name brand to a generic. That means this one may be slightly lower in the amount of the active ingredients, so it may not work as well for you as the other one did. Usually, the fluctu...

All Hydrocodone Combination medications will become a Schedule II meds Oct. 6, 2014. ## Hello, BL! How are you? Thank you for the very helpful post. It is correct. I recently received the notice about it. That means no more refills and its use will be much more strictly regulated. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Does anyone have any questions about this change?

how many days does it take to get norco 10mg out of system if you dont take regularly. ## If you're speaking with regards to a urine analyses, it can generally only be detected for up to 3-4 days after your last dose. I'd imagine a little more or less than that depending on how often you use it. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone I hope this helps!

Hi. Im on a 16 milagram suboxobe regimen even though the word habit comes to mind, anyway I'm 5 days early on my script. So of course i was panicked. I never want to go through withdrawal again. So being 7 weeks out of er surgery i went back to the hospotal last night. Dr prescribed 30norcos i need 4 days do you think that will help ## Thank goodness walgreens filled my script 5 days early. I don't know why because they said not till the 8th. Then today for s***s and giggles i checked the web site and it said ready. I was a nervous wreck going the pharmacy thinking they'd change their minds and say no too early. I am now giving my script to My bff and she's giving me my daily dose. I'm going to ween too...I'm so tired of being hostage to suboxone Fornow though Th...

I am currently on a 10mg Butrans patch and also norco for break through pain. I got off track on taking the norco's because I was having some really bad pain and it was the only way I could get relief (big mistake) because in 10 days I have an appointment with my pain management doctor and because I am having breakthrough pain now with nothing to take. If he decides to run a UA how is it going to affect the outcome?

I have severe osteoporosis an current end plate fracture and 2 10/325 norco helped most of time but I was taking to much so they switched to diladid which didn't last more than two hours then switched to MS Contin 15 twice a day with Norco why through the MS Contin didn't do enough an was still taking to,much norco so they upped the MS Contin to 30mg twice day with only 4 norco a day for break through. Some day it work some days it doesn't it depends if I stay in bed or am up doing stuff. My question is I had gastric bypass an was always told not to take extended release an now they give it to me idk understand why. Also so days the MS Contin seems to help other days not so much I was wondering if my mal absorption impacts what I'm absorbing as far as the pain meds. Also...

Is this a generic norco from walgreens? - white oval pill 2172 scored on back side blank ## will 2172 have the same effect as 3202? how much more friggin' detail do u want? ## @RPMJR, Yes, a white oval pill with 2172 is generic Hydrocodone Bitartrate 5mg + Acetaminophen 325mg with a National Drug Code of 0591-2172. Seems like a lot of people here on MedsChat have asked about this pill just within the past couple days so I'm assuming it's a relatively new product and not much info has been posted on the internet. For verification, Actavis Pharmaceuticals is the manufacturer. @Mr. Breeze, 2172 and WATSON 3202 are the same drug with the same listed dosage... But as many of us have come to find out, generic drugs tend to vary in efficacy from one tablet to the next. Furthermore,...

I have been clean from methadone for 3 weeks now, after 10 days I started feeling a lot better. Withdrawals were not too bad, just weak and no energy. I was on them for 3 years and tapered down to 4mg before I completely quit. I feel pretty good id say. But was wondering if i were to take my norco prescription, will i get sick all over again? How long should I wait? Or if i take a methadone will i get sick? ## If you start taking Norco they will probably not make you sick until you stop taking them. Why are you taking the Norco if you are feeling pretty good. The one thing you will find is that your tolerance will increase much faster then when you were taking methadone along with the feeling that you have to have them just to get your day started. Even if you stop taking a opiate and w...

Norco 750 white with pink dots ## Prescription drugs that contain Acetaminphen are not allowed to have more than 325 mg of Acetaminphen now. ## @Michelle, Post #1 is correct. Acetaminophen is capped out at 325mg now-a-days. So the old Vicodin's with 750mg of Acetaminophen are no longer being made. However you can still get the 7.5mg dose of Hydrocodone. I wouldn't want such high amounts of Acetaminophen in my tablets anyways though since the risk of liver damage is always there. Makes me wonder why they still bother putting Acetaminophen in medications, seeing that it offers very little benefits vs risks. Did you also have any specific questions regarding these pills? I noticed that your thread title/description are pretty vague, but thought I'd offer a second opinion none-t...

I have a prescription for Norco 4x a day, 120 pills total. The dr has written it for 20 day supply. When would be the soonest I could submit my refill? She wrote the refill for December 15th, last month I filled it on the 20th. Would I have to wait until the 20th again or can I submit it to CVS on the 15th? ## Anna, If the doc dispensed #120 with a sig. of one qid that's a 30 day supply. You'd have to wait 30 days from the filled on date so the 20th would be your available date. ## Do u get the norco 853's and 120 a month? I was wondering if i could ask my dr. to up my script from 90 to 120 a month because they dont seem to be working that good. Is this possible? ## @Craig - Yes, it is definitely possible. However.... It's solely up to the whit and whim of your doctor as...

Looking for a dr that will prescribe norcos or something similar near st clairsville oh. Just moved here and need to find a dr before I run out. ## You need to hurry. Norco becomes a Schedule II Oct 6. 2014. Some drs that prescribed it now as a Schedule III, won't be any longer. There will be no refills, it won't be able to be called in & you must see your dr at least once every 90 days. ## Ok thanks

Finally weaned off the fentanyl patch this week. It's been 6 days. As I was weaning my craving/ need for Norco has increased. I'm trying next to wean off the Norco 10/325 6 a day but having a very tough time both pain wise and withdrawal wise. Clonidine has helped but not much. How long does it take for Norco to get out of your system and what helps with the WD symptoms. This all stared after 3 back surgeries and has been going on for 7 years. ## Hello, John! How are you doing? When coming off of opiates, it is normal to experience withdrawal symptoms, which can include rebound pain. As listed by the FDA, you may also experience nausea, fever, chills and diarrhea. There's really nothing else that will specifically help with the withdrawal symptoms, except for tapering very s...

I have been on buprenorohine 8mg, 3 times a day for the last 3 years for pain management. I have fibromyalgia, chronic back pain, and other pain issues. I have a current health issue causing me increased pain. So bad that nothing is helping with the pain. I was given 10mg norco to take for the pain. I have been off the buprenorohine for the last 27 hours. Can I take the norco and get any pain relief? If yes, how many should I take? Or do I have to wait longer? ## Hi Sam, I've seen this type of question come up a lot on here, and often see responses indicating that it's generally best to wait several days (e.g. 4-5 days) in-between Buprenorphine and other narcotic pain relievers such as Norco (Hydrocodone/APAP) - in order to be able to feel its effects. Seeing that you've wai...

They aren't working as well as they used to...so my question is what would be the next step up for pain control? I have a dr appt in a few days and was wondering what he might put me on? ## Hello, Hootsie! How are you? I am very sorry about your medical condition and that you're in so much pain. It's hard to guess what your doctor might recommend, but there is a time released formulation of Hydrocodone that's available, without the Acetaminophen, in higher doses, so if it works well for you, that might be the way to go. It's called Zohydro. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, ...

The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. How long do they still in your body ## Because that answer depends on so many underlying factors (i.e weight, age, metabolism, diet, etc), the best you can do is go off an estimated guess on when it'll be out of your body. In many cases I've read about on here, it seems to pretty much go unnoticed on drug panels after 3 to 7 days of not having anything at all. On the contrary, some diagnostics can still find it in your hair follicles for up to 90 days. But if this isn't a concern to you then I wouldn't sweat the time frame at all. Have long have you been taking them for?
