The 3202 gave me a bumpy, itchy rash! The IP 109 are fine. What is the difference? ## Hello, Amy! How are you? I'm sorry about the reaction you had. My best guess is that there is something different in the inactive ingredients. To explain it simply, there is a pool of them that a manufacture can choose from, they are all excipients that the FDA considers biologically inert, so they don't have an affect on the way the medication works and most people aren't allergic to them and/or don't suffer allergic reactions. But which ones a manufacturer uses is entirely up to them, so they can differ from one generic to another. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, d...

Is it ok to take 2 watson 3202 at a time? ## Watson Pharmaceuticals list these tablets as containing 5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. However, you shouldn't double up, unless your doctor has told you that it is safe for you to do so. It could result in an overdose and/or an increase in side effects, if you are not opiate tolerant. You also have to be careful not to exceed 3,000mgs of Acetaminophen per day. Is there anything else I can help with? ## The FDA recommends not exceeding 4,000 of Acetaminophen in a 24 hr period. Can I take this while taking celexa ## Hi Jeff, From what I've read, taking either of these two medications together can increase your risk of certain adverse effects. Anything from mental impairment and difficulty staying focused, to experiencing sudden dizziness or drowsiness. I don't know how often these types of interactions occur in the percentage of people that do use them together... or at what dosage it becomes severe, but I wouldn't suggest taking any chances without speaking to your doctor first. Perhaps he can make a more informed decision after going over your medical records. I hope this advice helps!

Can you use Watson 3202 instead of tramadol ? ## Hi Gypsy, Because these are two completely different prescriptions (one containing a narcotic and one not), I'd honestly recommend discussing this with your doctor before moving forward with something new like Watson 3202. From what I've researched, the 5mg Hydrocodone + 325mg Acetaminophen Watson is regarded as being much stronger than Tramadol. So that's also something to keep in mind when you do decide that it's time to switch. I hope this helps! ## Thank you. It was for my dog Daisy that was bitten by a copperhead snake. She is doing well without any pain meds, thank God! Thank you so much

white and speckled...hydrocodone 5/325 watson 3202....are the inactive ingredients sulfa based? ## Do you have a sulfa allergy? If so, you should make the pharmacy aware of it, when you get a prescription filled and they will check it to make sure it's safe for you to take. Learn more Vicodin details here. I haven't been able to find a listing of the inactive ingredients for this medication, but generally, they have to be substances that are considered to be safe, so sulfa substances wouldn't usually be approved for use, since it cause such severe allergies in some people. However, your pharmacy should also have a complete ingredients list that you can look over.

they expired 2 years ago, can they still be taken? ## Hi Christeen, There's actually a lot of conflicting information around the topic of expired medication, but according to a Harvard Medical School family health article, except in rare cases (i.e. tetracycline), there is little chance of danger due to taking medications even up to 15 years beyond their expiration date. This conclusion was based upon a study conducted at the request of the US military due to stockpiles of expensive drugs they could otherwise need to replace every few years. The conclusion was that 90% of those drugs remained effective 10 - 15 years after the expiration date. But the question is whether or not the drug you have happens to be one of these drugs from the study... (I have not seen the list of drugs use...

Am having knee replacements soon, had RNY so can't take any anti-inflammatories. Have been taking 1/2 of a 5-325 for pain made by Qualitest & have a V on one side & 3604 on other. Tablets are scored so can break easily. No problem with stomach. Latest Rx are same color but say Watson on one side and 3202 on other side and, though they are scored to break in half, are really hard to break..sometimes breaking into several pieces. Also, have had ulcer and stomach really burns, especially when I break the tablet into two parts. Could it be the fillers? ## Yes, there could be a filler that's causing more stomach acid. Have you talked to your doctor about possibly taking them with an antacid? As to breaking them, it would be much easier if you got a pill cutter, they are avail...

hi I been prescribe from my doctor 3202 watson pill for back pain a year ago and just went again to the pharmacy and they give me a 3604 pill they said it was the same dose but I feel like the 3202 pills was helping me more is there a difference between the 3202 and the 3604 ?? ## Hello, Greg! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem you're having. They are both the same medication in the same dosage, they've just been manufactured by different companies, Watson and Qualitest respectively. However, there can be differences between one generic to another, the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984 does permit an allowable difference in the amount of the active ingredients, by as much as plus or minus 20%. This is done with generics to create market competition to help keep prices down. Thu...
