red and white capsule has Pfuer printed on the red side and PGN 75 printed on the white side ## THIS IS NOT MORPHINE NOR ANY TYPE OF NARCOTIC! This is Pregabalin 75mgs, a generic for Lyrica. This is used to help prevent Epileptic seizures and to treat certain types of nerve pain. It is NOT a narcotic nor related to one, though. ## By the way, that is what the code PGN 75 stands for Pregabalin 75mgs. Pfizer is the manufacturer.

changing to Oxycodone HCL BY DOCTOR--what amount of oxycodone hcl would be comparable to MS CONTIN 30 MG ? ## Oxycodone is one and a half times stronger than Morphine, so you would actually need a lower dose of the Oxycodone, which would be around 20mgs. The side effect profile is similar for both, since they are both narcotic analgesics and may include: nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and constipation. My husband is on 2 - 30 mg morphine daily. He feels terrible and just wants to get off. How? ## From personal experience, I can tell you that even only using it as prescribed can result in severe withdrawal symptoms if you stop cold turkey. Mine lasted for nearly a month. The best way to stop Morphine is to slowly taper it off, that way you minimize the withdrawals. He should really consult his doctor to get the best taper schedule and be under a doctor's supervision while he is stopping it. It is a very potent narcotic. Has he spoken to his doctor about his desire to stop using it, yet?

I was px morphine 30 mg sulfa but no pharmacy carries it in los angeles ca does any one or does someone now a pharmacy that carries it ## Hello, Joseph! How are you? I'm sorry that you're having a problem finding your medication. How have you been checking for it? If you're just calling the pharmacies, you won't get an accurate answer, because they have no way of knowing if the person on the phone is a potential thief or a legitimate customer with a need. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Does anyone have any ideas? ## Take the prescription to a hospital , and usually they can make sure that your doctor is legit and can also help in getti...

Could someone please send an image or describe a morphine tablet of 30 mg. I found a small, purplish colored tablet with a M surrounded by a square and 30 on the other side. ## Can you get a hold of an actual copy of The Physician's Desk reference? (PDR) It has an entire section of color photos with most meds pictured... Check your local library... ## it is a morphine 30 mg ## Dude yourself a 30 mg Immediate release Oxycodone....It's a generic brand for Roxicodone. ## WRONG! The 30mgs Oxy with the M in a square is a light green color, not purple. It is manufactured by Mallinckrodt pharmaceuticals. Here's an image of that one: ## The correct ID of this pill, is as the other posters said, Morphine 30mgs, it is also made by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals. This is a generic for MS...

Can you take 2 to make it 30mg ## Yes, the medication would be released into your body, just the same as if you took a 30mg extended release tablet, any fluctuation would be so slight as to not be noticeable or therapeutically significant. Learn more Morphine information here. It is not, however, safe to change your dosage without your doctor's approval, since this a narcotic and there can be risks associated with its use. Are there any other questions or comments? ## I was prescribed 15mg morphine er twice a day. I think that the night time pill disturbs my breathing at night. Can I reduce my dosage down to just one 15 mg pill in the morning? ## Maybe you should adjust the times you take your medication. I'm new to MSIR ER 60mg and 30mg 4 x's per day for breakthrough pain and 3 x's a day on ER. Is this too much? ## The extend release is normally taken twice a day. If you haven't been taking Morphine what you stated is too much. FDA guidelines state a patient isn't suppose to be prescribed more than 120 mg Morphine a day.

Just prescribed for on Morphine Sulfate SA. Would like to know to what effect this will be different from 4-10 mg hydrocodone/500 APAP, daily ? ## They are both narcotics, so the side effects are going to be very similar, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and constipation. However, the SA stands for sustained action, so the Morphine is a time released product that is meant to help give you better pain control. Is there anything else I can help with?

Is this really good for my back? What else is it good for? What is the average price for a prescription to be filled? ## I can't really tell you if this will help you or not. Pain medications can affect everyone differently, whereas some people get great results from taking it, but there are others that it just doesn't work for. Unfortunately, the only way to find out is to actually try it. To answer your other question, Morphine is a narcotic pain reliever used to treat moderate to severe pain. I wouldn't suggest trying to use it for any other purpose outside of that. Did your doctor just give you a prescription for it without saying a word? ## I have stage 4 cancer I've been taking Vicodin 500 mg 6 times a day now I switch to 15 mg of morphine and I feel horrible don...

HOW LONG DOES IT START WORKING, THE 30mg MORPHINE? ## The regular release or time released tablets will take about 20 to 30 minutes to start working. The instant release formulations work much faster. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation. Read more: Are there any comments or questions? ## How do I tell if my 30mg morphine is extended release or immediate release if I don't have the bottle any more? I have 2 different kinds left but don't know which ones which!? One has a M on one side and Ms30 on the other. The other one has m on one side and abg or something on the other, both are purple.

I have just received two scripts, one is Morphine Sulfate IR 30 MG and the is Morphine Sulfate SR 30 MG tablets. It doesn't say which one is the slow releasing and which one isn't. Can you please help me with this? ## I'm happy to help you! IR stands for immediate release and the SR stands for sustained release, so the IR is the fast one and the SR is your time released formulation. You can learn more Morphine details here. Since Morphine is a narcotic, it may be habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Verwon - Is correct. IR is Immediate Release and SR or ER is Sustained Release or Extended Release. I have a purple little round pill with a M in a square on one side and on the other side it has the # 30. When I looked it up it showed morphine sulfate Sr. My questions are #1. Are these considered extended release? And #2. If so, how often should I be taking them? 1 every 12 hours or 1 every 24 hours. ## Hello, Star! How are you? Yes, the SR stands for sustained release, so it is a time release formulation. They are usually dosed every 12 hours, but you should follow your doctor's prescribing instructions, if they are different. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. is the above dosage safe if taken for 2&1/2 years ## is taking 30 mg of morphine tabs 3 times a day for 2&1/2 years save? ## There is really no way to say whether or not the long term use of any medication is safe. It depends on the individual and how their body reacts to the drug. Some people experience problems and some don't. However, this is a narcotic and can be habit forming, after being used for such a long period of time. Have you discussed your concerns with your doctor?

why do the green make so sick when the red older pills didn't ## Have you consulted your doctor about this? There are several different things that could be causing it. If you've been taking it for a long time, you may have suffered some stomach damage that's causing it. There can be slight variations in generics, so you might be getting more of the medication than you were used to getting. Or, there could be different fillers and, while they are considered inactive, some people are sensitive to them. ## COMPARE WHAT I WAS ON "HYDROCODONE 10/500" 4 X'S A DAY TO WHAT I TAKE NOW. Hello, my doctor recently changed my dose of morphine to 30mg, but I still have 15mg tablets left. Can i take 2 to equal 30 until they're gone, then start my 30mg pills? ## Yes, there shouldn't be any problem with doing that.
