My father turned 74 on May 2, he had a kidney stone broke up with the laser procedure and a stint put in to help him pass the pieces of the broken up stone. His doctor gave him Percocet 7.5 with directions of "take 1 to 2 pills every 4 hours as needed for pain. He's taken 35 pills in the span of (Friday 3p.m. to now Wednesday night 11p.m.) and he still has 15 more left. Is this too many or too much for him to be taking? ## That averages out to not quite 6 pills a day, so he is taking them as directed according to prescribing info you've provided. How is he doing, now? Has there been any change? The FDA does warn that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.

Doctors can only assume that it may work based on your medical records, current health, and other individual factors. Norimin tablets are a type of hormonal contraception (birth control), and as a side effect it can cause irregular or skipped periods (due to a fluctuation of hormones); however this is not the primary indication of the drug itself. What is the meaning of "take 4 capsules per day"? (i.e. How far apart is the dosing schedule?) ## Generally, that would be every 6 hours, but it can depend on the specific medication being asked about. Can you post back with more details? In some cases, it may mean that you can take all 4, at once, it may mean two doses of two capsules, or even taking up to four a day but not always four if not necessary. For instance, I take a medication for nerve pain, and it is prescribed to be taken up to a certain number of times a day, but that doesn't mean it has to be taken so many hours apart, I can take them all at once at night, or take several throughout the day.

Why do Pristiq only come in 100 or 50 mg tablets.
