Are these prescribed for dogs ? However the exact dosage and duration of treatment is best determined by a licensed vet who can evaluate the dog in person. Upon doing so, the vet can also decide if Cephalexin is appropriate over other potential antibiotics/treatment options (that may be safer in so far as possible side effects). Cephalexin itself is a very powerful drug (even for humans), so I just think it's wise to play it safe and seek additional feedback from a vet before following through with treatment on your own accord.
