When I was at my family physician yesterday, she said she may have to take me off xanax and put me on ativan because of new Indiana guidelines. She did say I could see a psychiatrist for my xanax. I explained I have been on them for over 27 years a hysterectomy take 2-.05 a day. I told her I do not abuse them etc. They are probably psychologically by now anyways. My Drs Nurse Practitioner in all her glory decided that after 27 yrs on Benzos (12 on Xanax & the last 15 on 4-6mg per day, I no longer needed it. HAHA So stupid of her. It is Vestran (prazepam). It is a strong anxiety medication with a higher percentage of becoming dependent than Valuum, Xanax, or klonopin. Be VERY careful and do not take somebody elseso medication. Those people are called "addicts". If you are doing this, most all insurances cover rehab. Best of luck in your future.
