I have epilepsy and have taken Sodium Valproate 300 mg daily for nearly 5 years. I am now pregnant and want to know if taking this medication will effect my unborn baby. I'm taking Valproate Sodium 300 mg BD and Levipil 500 mg in the morning and 750 mg in the evening. However it is causing me to gain weight... Please tell me how to control my weight? ## Weight gain can be a normal side effect of these medications, according to the NIH. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, and mood swings. Since taking this medication I have been feeling weak, can't concentrate, feel dizzy and sleepy. I am taking Enchorate Chrono 300mg everyday since 2006 for my seizures. My doctor suggested I take these tablets daily. I took one everyday, but some times I still get seizures and its not stopping. At times my hands and legs shake unknowingly.
