Tizanidine feels toxic, and like I need to clean it out!

Basically have been trying to manage shoulder or possibly neck tensing issue for about 4-5 months now. I also try to remain active. Go to the gym regularly. One day woke up with my right side stiff, and very little feeling in it. Called doc. Who suggested this stuff. Tried it twice. And still feel...off. Foggy, light headed, random drops (then spikes) in blood pressure pulse etc. Not at my self which is normally pretty lighthearted and goofy. I called the doctor for a follow up. Doc didn't believe me saying those problems are rare. I have not taken another pill so as to avoid making matters worse. Any one else run into this? Any advice or opinions for what to do next? Any suggestions or ideas on detoxing from this stuff? ## As a follow up. I was lucky. I got into see a acupuncture s...

## I was prescribed tizanidine for muscle pain will this medication trigger my anxiety ## I wouldn't think it would. Everyone is different but this is a muscle relaxer and therefore has some sedating properties associated with it. If anything I would think it may calm you down some. I've taken it for years and never had an issue with it causing anxiety

I have a small white oval pill with R178 printed on one side and the other side has a line on it to split. Is it a percocet 10/325? ## Hello, Parker! How are you? Is the marking possible R 179? If so, it is manufactured by Par Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 2mgs of Tizanidine, which is a muscle relaxant. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth. Can you please double check and post back? Thanks!

white round pill U 159

The pill I found is round, white and had an x on one side and U 159 on the other side. What is it? ## Any chance that the imprint on your pill says "U 169" instead of U 159? I located a round white pill with U 169 on one side and an x (or cross-scored) on the back. This pill is reportedly identified as a 4mg Tizanidine HCL tablet, used as a muscle relaxant. For verification, the pill itself carries a National Drug Code of 29300-0169 and is manufactured by Unichem Pharma. I hope this helps!

No, none of the others are really as good as the Soma. The closest might be Skelaxin, which contains the active ingredient Metaxalone, so you may want to ask your doctor about trying it. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. expiration of tizanidine
2 Replies RSS
Found a bottle of tizanidine filled in 2015. Will it be safe to take? If so, will it still work? Also can you take seroquel with tizanidine? ## This medication does not become dangerous once expired, but it may start to lose efficacy, according to FDA reports. They can be taken together, if they have both been prescribed for you, but you may experience more severe side effects than usual, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, and confusion. When was it filled in 2015? Usually, the expiration date is a year from the date it was dispensed to you by your pharmacy. ## It was filled 4/2014 and it says expires on 4/2015. Sorry looked at the expiration instead date filled, so I guess that tells me its too old, right? Thanks for taking time to reply. So are they really bad?

Tizanidine Medication

I have had hallucinations and terrible, very realistic nightmares. I finally figured out that it was only after I took my tizanidine. I thought I was going crazy. I am not going to take it anymore and hope that I return to normal. My husband also complained about me acting and speaking unusually. ## Glad to hear you stopped taking it. Tizanidine does seem like a pretty dangerous medication when it comes down to possible side effects. MedlinePlus lists "changes in vision" as well as "seeing things or hearing voices that do not exist" to be common but serious side effects of Tizanidine.
