Paliperidone, sold under the brand name Invega among others, is an atypical antipsychotic. It is marketed by Janssen Pharmaceutica. Invega is an extended release formulation of paliperidone that uses the OROS extended release system to allow for once-daily dosing. My friends daughter was just put on this drug when she had a psychotic break and was hospitalized. My friend said they have identified her daughter as a schizephrenic (sp) ## Invega is a name brand for Paliperidone. It is an antipsychotic medication. ## Thanks Vernon for your response. Does IM injection Paliperidone Palmitate (Invega Sustenna) lose potency or become unsafe if it has been stored in far above room temperature for a few weeks? ## Hello, Ally! How are you? I was just put on it 2day. $ 10 yrs. Dr. said I was Bipoler last year they put on my record Just Depression, which is true 4 the past year. So why would the Dr. put me on an Anti-pysotic med? ## These types of medications are commonly used to treat BiPolar Disorder, if you read the monograph, you will see it is even approved to treat it.
