oxybutynin how long does it take to wear off?

My son has been on oxybutynin er for 6 months. He has recently started having trouble voiding. It seems like his bladder is too relaxed. He is unable to urinate when he wants to, however he when his bladder gets very full he has a large urine accident. Is this a common side effect? How long will it take for the medication to wear off. ## Hello, Suzy! How are you? Yes, it is listed as a common side effect by the FDA, along with nausea, blurred vision and dehydration. However, he should have this checked out by his doctor to be sure of what's going on. Is there anything else I can help with...
