Celecoxib, sold under the brand name Celebrex among others, is a COX-2 selective nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It is used to treat the pain and inflammation of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, acute pain in adults, painful menstruation, and juvenile rheumatoid arthritis in people two years or older.[2] Side effects include a 37% increase in incidence of major vascular events, which include nonfatal myocardial infarction, nonfatal str...

My doctor perscribe Celecoxib. An anti inflamatory. A 30 day perscription. With 3 refills. I have a torn meniscus in my knee and sciatic nerve pain lower back. Lot of pain. Pain in the knees

I have pain in my knees.i have been prescribed Nermamax and zycel by my doctor,but i have no relief so far.My X-Ray of both the knees show that they are in perfect condition.Am i being given the right meds.My blood urea and uric acid levels are also normal. pl advise. ## I had the same problem, but I did not go to a doctor for medicines.
