epleptin problems

Hi there. I have been diagnosed with degeneration in L5,6,7 discs. I gave been put on 100mg epileptic 3 times a day and 120mg arcoxia(1 week only). I am retaining a lot of water and gaining weight. I am desperately trying to lose weight anyway to help my back. What could be causing it and what could I take instead? Are lyrica and epkeptin the same side effects? ## Hello, Lisa! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problems that you're having. The Epileptin can cause weight gain as a side effect and water retention, but the water retention is not very common. However, the Arcoxia can also cause fluid retention, as listed by the FDA. Other possible side effects may include nausea, dizziness, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. Arcoxia and weight gain

I understand that Arcoxia is prescribed for anti-inflammation after my surgery. I have 2 weeks supply. I suspect that it's the cause of my weight gain of 3kg in 1 week! Is this temporary or will I be stuck with the excess weight? ## This medication contains the active ingredient Etoricoxib, it is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory. The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, headache, stomach irritation, and increased risk of bleeding. It may also cause fluid retention, so you should have any dramatic weight gain checked out by your doctor, to be safe. Fluid retention may lead to other dangers, such as congestive heart failure. How are you doing, now? Has there been any change?

alternatives to Arcoxia

Currently on 30mg daily and it seems to be difficult to get now in that dosage. Doctor tried me on Naproxene 330mg x 3 times daily and the effect was the equivalent of having drain cleaner through my stomach even though I take a stomach liner. I have osteoarthritis. I have been quite happy with the Arcoxia for many years. ## I am not sure what all might be available where you live. What do you take as a stomach liner? Most of these nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories can cause stomach irritation as side effects, according to NIH reports. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, and increased risk of bleeding. Are these the only medications you have tried? Do you take anything else regularly?

xefo 8 Halucination

I was treated for Lumbago shortly before back surgery ( Fusion + Laminectromy) I also took 2x 10mg/day Urbanol in the weeks before for stress. I stopped the Urbanol on admission to hospital. I took prescribed 8 mg/day Zefo tablets for 8 days untill the day before my operation and stopped it since my children said I acted weirdly after taking them. I am 67 years old. I found that there was acute numbness in both legs 5½ weeks after the operation when I ripped off my surgical stockings. This persists up to today 14 weeks later. Neurosurgen had no comments on 6 or 12 weeks - says he is satisfied. I think possibly Urbanol withdrawal symptoms. I also took Arcoxia tablets for pain in the hipbone from about 10 days after the operation in stead of Tramacet (causing extreme constipation). An...
