Xarelto Lawsuits
UpdatedA family member is on Xarelto for afib, she recently had a nosebleed and when she first started xarelto last year she was bleeding, went to the hospital, but her doctor said it wasn't from xarelto, he thinks she passed a kidney stone but the bleeding cause was never proven. I was reading the information on the xarelto lawsuit and some studies claim that xarelto should be monitored just like Warfarin so doctors can tell how xarelto is affecting each particular patient. Huh? Does this mean the doctors have no idea how xarelto is working in the body? If xarelto requires monitoring, then it has no advantage over Warfarin, and shouldn't cost $3,000 yearly. I am wondering if my family member should insist her doctor monitor her blood now to make sure xarelto is working properly? Any comments appreciated.
