What happens if you mix Xanax with grapefruit?

I have taken Xanax and grapefruit juice together before, and it gave me a more relaxed feeling. It was totally by accident that I had found this out so I researched it and Wallah!

Actually Jerry, Xanax is used primarily for panic attacks. Benzos are generally used to treat anxiety, not depression.

For #14...yes there are yellow oval-shaped xanax. I was prescribed them and the dose was 0.5mg. hope that helps answer your question!

To somewhat answer your question xanax reacts differently on people. Some get a calming effect, some pass out for hours, some act a fool, some turn into thieves stealing everything in sight when they're on them... When i take xanax i get the same effect as what you described. Pass out sleep for hours, hard to wake up, leaving me no energy and borderline lethargic... Alcohol is super dangerous when mixed with xanax and can cause respiratory failure leading to death so be careful....Hope this kinda helped.

What if youre using clonazepam for anxiety? The slow down effect is great for anxiety.

The reason u didn't feel the calming or euphoric effect is because if you're not used to taking it, it will knock u out. After taking it for a couple of days, your body gets used to it and then you will feel the way you want. I don't know about euphoric but it will calm you down.

If a pill is completely unmarked it is generally OTC. Controlled drugs tend to contain a few letters and number on one or both sides. I have what I thought was an oblong xanax with no markings and it was definitely some sort of OTC antihistamine. So be careful with what you take!

Coop, you are fooling yourself if you think Xanax & Klonopin are that much different. Also if anxiety is a form of depression, to say Xanax does not treat depression is not genuine. Plus they both are addictive although it is said Klonopin is easier to discontinue. Unless you have gone through withdrawal I'm not sure your statements have any validity?

Both medications are benzodiazepines Klonopin has a longer half life and is therefore useful Intreating generalized anxiety disorder and panic attacks. Klonopin is also an anti convulsant which makes it essential in preventing seizures. Xanax is a much stronger benzodiazepine and HAS NO USE WHATSOEVER IN TERMS OF DEPRESSION ALLEVIATION. I cannot stress this enough. Xanax will not help you if you are depressed and can have extremely adverse side effects along with a high potential for abuse. I took Xanax for 3 years only taking 1 mg 3 times a day. Not bad right? Third day off the meds I had a seizure and knocked out 8 of my teeth. My doc switched me to klonopin and have not had any problems at all with seizures withdrawl symptoms etc.

I have used benzos and barbituates since my late teens and early 20's (does anyone remember tuinals?) got clean for 15 years, and now I have numerous health issues including an awful panic disorder. I'm also in a great deal of pain. After 5 years of struggling to walk again, I take the zanex and go to the methadone clinic to control the pain. I can't function without either one. I feel trapped. Any feedback?

I've used Xanax for quite some time,only 0.125 mg. at a time,and I will admit that even with my tolerance to it, 1mg.would knock me out,too. try splitting the pill in half. it will still be strong but maybe more tolerable for you. hope this helps.
